I actually like the Hammerhead hovertank. I would, however, appreciate some changes. For example, an indicator that tells me how much damage it has suffered and how much more it can take. And a HUD radar would be nice instead of sky-high indicator columns.

I also think it would be an interesting angle if I had to bring a Tech-inclined squad member aboard to enable such features as homing rockets and self-repairs. That need not be Tali or Legion - anyone qualified for the vent shaft run would do, only Tali or Legion could make the repairs faster.

Even better if these features showed up as upgrade options on my research lab computer first. In the new section "Vehicle Upgrades".

Well, maybe a future DLC mission pack will contain a Hammerhead patch?

I finally got the Hammerhead, and my game back.

Not totally dissapointed, but I spent more time scanning the planets in the mission systems for resources then the actual missions. It's like flying a cardboard box with a homing rocket launcher.

Long story short, I'd rather have the Mako and exploration over what we have now.

I really liked the Hammerhead. Was fun too drive, much better than Mako. However i thought the missions could be better and more difficult. I was doing it on Insanity and it was easy :P

It was fun to drive. It reminded me of that old N64 game, the Star Wars Pod Racer one.

Hey how about a race mission?

The big indicators for the ressources when i'm in the hammerhead make the mission too easy. The mission with the snow could have been better without them and with a better resistance. It would be a real exploration...

It's nice to see BioWare trying to add a variety of new content, this was a good step, but I agree that it was too easy.

I wish it was longer. I thought the hammerhead was fun to drive, but only five missions to drive it were kind of a let down, and they were too short. Bioware, any chance more hammerhead missions?

Finally had time to play through the Hammerhead missions - and they were a bit short, but fun. I hoped for more, but the basic stuff was there and I liked it, not disappointed.

Little things that irked me, though:

- needs more HUD, only having a siren to tell me that I'm about to die is... not helpful

- not very durable - for a TANK, it feels a bit flimsy, it doesn't seem to take a lot more hits than you in normal combat, I think having some upgrades to research could fix that pretty nicely in future missions with the Hammerhead

- hoped for more out-of-vehicle segments (which include shooting), that was the bit that made the Mako real fun - that you got some variety in missions

No. You can use your DLC wherever and whenever you like. Unlocks automaticly ingame when downloaded. Check your private terminal.

I wish ship upgrades can also apply to the tank... oscillating shields, heavy armor, thanix cannon...

While the Mako's handling was unrealistic (climbing up mountains at 60 degree angles and surviving rollovers that would total a Leopard 2 tank) it didn't really bother me. I sort of thought of it as a moon buggy with a cannon.

The Hammerhead, however, acts like a vehicle made out of cardboard. I don't know how many times it melted in the lava. Driving it on the missions felt like I was playing Super Mario Brothers trying to jump from one mountain ledge to the other only to crash and burn. The inability to save in mission was very annoying to me as it took me sometimes 10 frustrating minutes to jump from one rock ledge to another only to find I couldn't save my progress.

Don't get me wrong. I appreciate the DLC support BioWare is giving ME2. I just think it needs to improve. I hope BioWare will consider a patch incorporating the many suggestions fans are making. As stated by many others here, there needs to be some ability to repair the Hammerhead, a HUD or map, and having your characters get out and explore more. A driving tutorial mission would be nice.

Excuse me but I suggest you read the message again. I never said the Mako was hard to drive. The Hammerhead was hard to drive and I suggested a driving tutorial for it.
