2- A war. An actual war. One single battle at the end of the game is not a war. A Song of Ice and Fire is what a war should look like. It should be a grueling, seemingless endless ordeal. This is something Bioware needs to address before Mass Effect 3 comes out.

2. Hoods and Cloaks: My mage doesn't like wearing traffic cones for hats. And cloaks were originally going to be in the game so might as well bring them back.
3. Break Away From The Usual Formula- Usually with Bioware it's go to big location A, B, C for plot important things. Bioware should try to break away from that.
4. More Specializations and New Skills: Specializations could be improved upon. If i'm a shapeshifter why can I only turn into a wolf, bear and some bugs?

2.either the old way of conversations or a mix or the new and old way.
i played DAO for the companions and the dialog not just for the hack n slash. i dont feel as emersed with the expantion as the origonal. so romance and defenatly a change in the companion interactions.

2. A strong continuity with choices made in DA:A, or at least non-contradiction
3. Some sort of gameplay
That's all I really need.

This sounds piddly when I write it down, but I have a toddler and the only time I have to play is when she's gone to bed, so I can't have the sound on. It took me...probably fifteen hours to realize that the other characters in my party were having conversations, because they're behind me. Is there any way to have something pop up when they're talking? I don't think it would break immersion much, there are icons popping up all over the place. You could even turn it off from the options menu if you didn't want it.
Options --> Audio/Video --> Subtitles --> "Always"

2. I thought the new conversation system was pretty good. How about a compromise and allowing in-camp conversations to flow like in Origins and exploration to be like Awakening?
3, Side-questing was well done in Awakening as they had a direct effect later on in the game. Keep this and keep them varied.
4. Armor models. Warriors, again, got some nifty looking stuff, like the Sentinel set. Rogues and mages... not so much, from what I can tell; they looked more like different textures than anything. The weapons however, looked pretty cool, especially the Velvet Dagger and the Dragonspite bow.
5. I have complete faith that romance will return in the sequel, if it still is the story of our Wardens (please let it be, I, along with others, have grown too attached to our characters to play some other person). I was satisfied with just the mere mention of the character's romance in the epilogue, but that's just me having high tolerance/low expectations.

2. A good storyline (THAT INCLUDES A WAR). The Battle of Denerim was good... but not enough. I want a full, blown-out tactical battle that comes at the climax of an extraordinary story. A whole new threat to a country where you are once again assigned to saving the people of the nation, with a battle at the end with a huge battlefield - basically, a playable version of the Battle of Sotagar.
3. The return of old companions (including some Awakenings ones) and perhaps some new ones. Good companions, memorable companions, with great backstory - as well as a good variation of them. Old companions should also flow as they did with the Origins story, where the decisions I made completely change their gameplay and the way they react to my choices.
4. Cloaks and hoods. It has already been requested above but I think it's an awesome idea! Cloaks as gear for maybe mages and rogues, and perhaps travelling gear for warriors or weak foes - and hoods to add completely to the awesomeness!
5. Scenes that bring emotions to the player; surprises, deaths, miracles, etc. I'd really like to see something extraordinary that you wouldn't see happening that makes you think, "oh my God, no way, I am so surprised and delighted!" Big moments, that players can look back on and know that it was amazing.

ANY ONE KNOW HOW TO USE THE MANUAL OF FOCUS IN AWAKENING. I IMPORTED MY ORGINS CHARACTER AND I CANT GET THEM TO WORK
It'd be nice if you typed normally instead of all in caps like a raging person. Just double click on them and they'll work. Just like a regular potion.

2. More interesting boss fights. I know everyone hates World of Warcraft, but WoW has far more engaging boss fights than DA:O. Most (boss) fights in DA:O are quite trivial. I don't mean just numbers, I'm talking about having to use some strategy during a fight.
3. A better organized journal. I love the lore of DA:O, but how do you look up a specific topic in the journal? Organizing the journal by numbers and not by topics seems counterintuitive to me.
4. Balance. I know it's a single player game and balance isn't as important as in an MMO, but if some classes/specializations are more powerful than others you usually feel forced to bring the same characters with you (Wynne -.-) for more difficult encounters. Another example is spell resistance. My templar has 100% spell resistance and is untouchable by mages. While that was fun for a while, it trivializes encounters and gets old fast.
5. Less black&white decisions. There was usually a "best" way to solve a problem in the original game. It's much more interesting to have a choice between two equally bad results, factions etc. Awakening was an improvement in that regard, and I hope this will be continued in DA2.
6. I personally preferred the dialogue system in DA:O to that of Awakening. (plus romances are always fun)

2)More organized interface for recieving and useing abilities.
3)Manipulating and influencing companions and changing the way they think. Dragon age: Origins how you delt with a quest would either harden the companion or keep them the same. This impressed me I would like to see more of this in the future.

MOST OF ALL: The return of Morrigan and the consequences of the "Dark Ritual" ending.
Yes!!! ^^^^^^^^^^^^ This!!! The Dark Ritual should have SOME kind of a consequence in DA2. What ever that is I want to know and I want to know in the next game.
I would also like deep character/companion development like many of the games BIOware give us...please PLEASE don't leave out Romances. Romances are not vital to ANY main storyline but they add that extra something that makes a really great game incredibly superb and memorable. To me it is what helps BIOware stand out among the endless titles of RPGs.
Also I would like to see some crazy world shaking decisions for the PC like in ME1 on virmire. More of those would be great. Or actually taking time out of saving the world from doom and destruction to take care of some companion personal problem should have some consequence. (example companion A has a personal quest he wants to go on and if you go on it a village is destroyed because you were not there to save it because you were messing around with personal business. Losing said village for whatever reason effects the end game by say not having troops/supplies/or information and adds to a "alternate bad ending" for the game. OR something like it.)
As for items, weapons, hair styles etc etc. I trust BIOware with this and its the LEAST important thing for me personally.

I was impressed by this also and hope they continue doing things like this with the companions.

Totally agree there spaers maybe as well for 2 handers. Cloaks would be nice as well. I would like them to make the game into a saga and not just a 2 part series. Like a Grey Warden quest start in ever area where you eventually get rid of the blight from the lands. Kinda like an offical ending not the ending in Baldurs gate and champions of norrath that left you wondering and where never followed up on.

- More options for same sex romances. Nuff said.
- Better NPC interaction. For example: I can be ambushed in the middle of a city and the nearby NPCs will just stand there like statues. They should scream and run, or shout for the guards, or wet themselves, or something, but not just stand there. And they should remember the fight next time they see my character.
- High end graphics for systems that can handle it. Make a separate download with a package or whatever, but do something.
- Mix the old and new dialogue for companions. (someone mentioned it but here it is again.)
- Mix up the walking/combat/gesture animations more, please! It's so annoying to see my character walk exactly like Duncan/Liliana/Morrigan/and most nearly every other NPC in the game (same for Mass Effect!). You've got money, damn. Just throw in a couple different mocaps in. Maybe give the main character it's own movement animation and have separate animations for female and male NPCs. But be consistent. If the female or male is a hero or tough type have them move accordingly, same for wimps or the seductress. Add more realism in this area please.
- Add hidden areas when your out moving from one location to another. For example: if I were going from the Mage Tower to Lothering I might stumble on a hidden cave, or after a fight I might see a valley that's not on the map, or a clearing, or house/castle, or something to add that whoa what's this? factor. Make them randomized like encounters.
That's about all I can think of off the top of my head.
I'm enjoying Awakening, by the way.

romances.
romances.
diplomacy/politics, i loved the court meetings in Awakenings, wanted more.
and i have to agree on a better organized codex, the lore is wonderful and rich, but next to impossible to find with the current codex system.

- More tactical options for consoles. Console users aren't retarded, Bioware. You don't need to dumb down your games for us.
- More difficulty and more ways to level up your characters. Make it so an all-purpose character cannot be built. Soloing the game on the hardest difficulty should be borderline impossible.
