Oh: and I'd like to be able to see my char more in cutscense and with more facial expressions. I'm Tired of only seeing the char I made up close once in a while and whenever I do she's got the same friggin expression on, no matter the situation.

I would like little decisions to define your character and bring it out at some point during the game and changing a situation. In Origins on one of my playthroughs i played a character that would always "stay silent" when engaged in a NPC praying, or telling Leliana to "get over the chantry it holds you back". My character obviously did not believe in Chantry religion which was optional dialogue but a role i maintained. Perhaps this could all rap up and mean something and "build" apon your character from the actions and dialogue you have chosen which gives you more negative or positive dialogue options and decisions later on down the road. I liked the hatred toward the elves in the game, and since my character was human and lived in a castle full of elven servants, i wanted to kind of maintain that hate. I enjoyed bringing it to light at the Danish camp and hope this could be built upon in the next game for a indepth character. Example: Hit a servant once in a while, maybe hire some servants of my own? I'm such a bad person

I could live w/ DA2 going clean slate IF we have a MOTB size expansion and a proper ending for our characters. Failing that ...
1. Bring Back the old characters. Some should be playable, other present in game, like Wade was in Awakening.
2. It's been said many times, but I'll through my 2 coppers in as well. Romance. Bring it back. (a thought: Put Leliana or Zev through the joining)
3. Make my decisions in DA:O matter.
4. Combine the old and new dialogue systems. They would greatly compliment each other.
5. More lore about the Wardens, maybe even have a main plot or large subplot about Warden politics.
6. Lead an army or Wardens up against the Big Bad.
7. Finally, if this is an end to our character's story, end it properly. Have Alister, whoever else and our character go on our calling in a scene, not an epilogue slide. (Think final scene to the final episode of "Angel"). Me, I kinda want to slay the dragon.

1. Documentation - It'd be real nice to actually know what abilities, set bonuses and the like do without having to resort to an external wiki or something similar.
2. The return of Dog.
3. Greater enemy and fight variation. Multiple elite and Multiple lieutenant battles can spice things up a bit, rather than your typical 1 "sturdy" + 15 "throwaway" mob encounters.
4. Cloaks, Hoods and Masks.
5. "Attacks of opportunity" or some similar method to create "zones of control." Having PCs and NPCs casually waltz through formations with no resistance in order reach more dangerous/vulnerable targets is wasted tactical potential.
6. A few large "optional" zones to make the world feel more open and to give the player a greater "illusion of choice" rather than always feeling "I have to do zones A-B-C-D."

1.) Old companions, I really liked them and hate the idea of getting them trashed just after one game. Talk about wasting potential.
2 .) New weapon classes like pole arms (spear, halberd, trident) and more sword-sub categories and sub-abilities (short sword, hand-and-a half sword, katana, scimitar etc.). No spears in a medieval game?
3.) Morrigan, I mean such a fleshed out and fun character getting dumped.....to me she represents everything what Dragon Age stands for. A big loss.
4.) A bigger threat, to me it didn't feel like the dark spawn are much a of a danger, to me they appeared more like an unorganized gang of raging beasts.
5.) I didn't like the focus on heavy armor only in DAO. Most of the good armor was the heaviest plate armor. Chainmail etc. got pretty much trashed later in the game.- Armor should have more effect on stamina and movement speed.
6.) Romances were fun, and fun is what computer games are all about. Bring them back.
I am pretty much happy with most of DAO's game content, I don't think that much has to be changed or even re-designed in DA2, so I would love if Bioware keeps up with the atmosphere and style instead of creating a completely new game.
Maybe an update of the graphics engine, a new dangerous threat to fight, many story twists, new weapon classes....
Compare it to good movies, as example Alien with Sigourney Weaver, a great movie, years later Aliens came out, all the design and atmosphere was pretty much the same, just updated. The most important characters did return, evolved and showed new twists. Both movies were very successful.
And now if you look at terminator series, the first one was awesome, after that the terminator-saga got pretty much raped by different directors and producers, extreme lack of continuity and extreme design & story changes dragged everything down to medicore level at best.

1. Better and more varied specializations. The rogue ones, for example, seem to favour close combat.
2. More companions like in Awakening (sorry, but I'd take Anders, Sigrun and Nathaniel over Wynne, Zevran and Sten any day).
3. More freedom in our choices but bigger consequences - Dragon Age felt very constrained in that if you made a choice you could be penalized for it with an approval drop and sometimes for no visible reason. I prefer the Mass Effect 2 way of it being done, personally. It doesn't help that gifts counteract the decision though!
4. A wider variety of voice actors. I'm sorry, BioWare, but it affects my ability to get into the game. In the Migrant Fleet I was thinking "Oh, that's Morrigan!" and "Oh, Loghain!" instead of being absorbed into the game. The same with the Seneschal of Vigil's Keep, I can't get it out of my head that he's Zaeed.
5. Less focus on warriors. Alistair, Sten, Oghren x 2, Shale (sort of), Dog (sort of), Loghain (shouldn't he be a rogue, anyway?), Mhairi, Justice. Not to mention the majority of temporary companions seem to be warriors.
6. Better/more frequent gear for rogues and mages. And make it look different, too!

If the sequel focuses on the same character (as the epilogue implies), I would really like to see a continuity of the romances. It would be cheap to have to start over, especially with different characters.
Bring back Leliana, or at least her voice actress. I love that accent.
As others have mentioned, mage hats look stupid.
Better ways to get around. I hate that to exit Orzammar you have to go through the Hall of Heroes and outside before you can access the world map.
And of course, Morrigan and the baby.

1. Let's have some customization! My main character was a mage, and I feel as if it's unfair that most of the robes are EXACTLY the same, other than a change in colors and stats.
2. A customizable home, castle, or something of the sort. I loved the concept of upgrading the keep in DA:OA, but think that it could definitely be improved. This could easily be done in a case where you start off with a plot of land that you're given, and you have to do quests to gather supplies and materials to build a home, and then upgrade it. It would also be nice to have to force some of your party members to help with the building, through magic, or strength, or whatever special skills that they have. There should also be more possibilities for customizing your home, such as furniture.
3. I would love it if they added a special function where the choice that you pick changes your personality, making your dialouge options more 'wise', 'cocky', 'violent', or whatever. With this, the would also have to add more voice possibilities.
4. MORE DIALOUGE!! This and the return of the romances would be great. The dialouge in DA:O was supurb, and should be taken and improved for sure.
5. Yes, I know that it's been said so many times over, but Dragon Age needs to improve it's graphcs!!

What I would like to see in the next game would be meaningful sidequests, like sidequests that give you kickass weapons and armor, and a lot more dungeons, and cooler optional bosses with different phases like the spectral dragon, and I would also like to see cooperative online, like you and 3 other friends can play the game together, you know trade equipment and fight giant-ass bosses together.

1. Morrigan !!
2. The old conversation system (sorry to bring it up again but so many people are missing it)
3. A war or a very big conflict between the mages+elves+etc and the chantry, so i can kick their righteous arses! :innocent:
4. Make my choices in dragon age and awakening really matter if i import my character.
5. A bit more story/note or character from Tevinter, i really like them.
6. And moooore Morrigan

1.An interesting storyline with detailed characters. I'm pretty positive that DA2 will have to do with Orlais, Morrigan, and her baby. And I'm pretty sure that it'll be set far enough in the future that her child will be somewhere between 18-25. And he/she will be one of your companions. But that's just what I believe will be most likely.
2.Dialogue being somewhere between the old and the new. I loved that the conversations in Awakening seem more relevant. But you should also be able to choose to talk to your companions. Even if it's something as small as to ask them how they're doing, or to flirt with a love interest.
3.Romances. I'm a sucker for well done romances.
4.More origin/class specific dialogue. There are certain situations, where you feel like you should have more interaction on certain subjects.(Like with Nathaniel as a HN. There's absolutely no recognition between the two of you on either side. Considering how close the Howes and Couslands were, they should have at least recognized each other or had a vague "Hey, you look awfully familiar.." moment. Or how Irving should actually treat you as if you're his favored pupil in Origins, if you are the mage origin.) It adds a lot to replayability, and it makes the character backgrounds more.. Concrete and realistic. These are things that we shouldn't have to write fanfiction about to get across.
5. More robe options for mages, or more armor options in general. Seriously, there should be some medium between being covered from head to toe, and being barely covered where it matters.
Not to mention how awful all the hats and such are.. Can't we get an awesome three musketeer style hat? Or even a headband? I can see a mage wearing a headband much more easily than I can see them wearing those neck choking monstrosities with dangly things on them.
6.More hairstyles, hair colors, eye colors. And freckles! We must have at least one set of freckles. I demand it.
I make more freckled characters than I do ones with tattoos.

1: Being given a choise in the matter of being a gray warden or not (Whats that duncan? submit myself to the taint? Oh how about i shove that challice where the sun dont shine)
2: Romances, I swear... I will slap the guys at bioware if they dont snap out of this censoring spree they'v gone on since fail fox did that poorly done raport on there crappy network.
3: a better combat system! This is not an MMO! No more auto attacking!
4: Better reward system, Instead of being given the same gray items every single time i slay a dark spawn why dont we try having random enemies chance of dropping a bit more ''epic'' loot?

All these people make great points. Better tattoos well different ones more of them or to change them or buy new ones.
I really agree to this statement here MOST OF ALL: The return of Morrigan and the consequences of the "Dark Ritual" ending. so thanks to poopville for making the comment. I think I speak for the people when I say we want to know more about her and the child.

Proper quality playtesting.
Character voice. Really miss it after Mass Effect!
More involved skill trees.
Actual feeling of hatred between the Chantry and Mages.
Bigger run offs for Origins.
