Hello!
Even though I'm new around here, I'm pretty familiar with the game so far..  I've finished it 1.5 times and had a few more characters, varied by origins.. I have a few questions I could really use some answers on:
1. Can a female Elf/Dwarf marry Alistair?
2. Is it just me, or girls suffer more in the game? I mean, I  had a Mage Elf who romanced Alistair, but after I made him the King, he broke up with me.. So I reloaded and made Anora queen, but than I had to let Alistair sleep with Morrigan to save his life, otherwise he'll die..
And when I played a FND 2 days ago, I was SO excited about Gorim! I never though dwarves can be so handsome & adorable! He totally made my heart melt! I was about to play through it all and get to Denerim ASAP! But when I was at Ostagar, I red on DOA Wiki that he'll get married to another and bear a child... After the last thing he said to me was: "I will always love you, My Lady" (I should know, I videoed the whole thing.. >>)
They just make everything so tragic..
3. Is there costum data for the game? Like hairstyles, clothing, anything..
Thanks in advance!!

1. Alistair can only marry a Noble Human Female, unless, of course, you don't make him king.
2. No, guys suffer too if they romance Morrigan. In fact, they cannot end up with her in the end while females can end up with Alistair under a variety of circumstances.
3. there are lots of mods for the PC version of the game

Zevran and Leliana are both available romance partners as well, and you can have more permanent endings with them no matter what your character race/class.

Edit: for more complete answers

Lol.. As a human/Elf I'll definetly romance Alistair! Just can't get enough of him!! <3

Thanks! But still..

1. Why is he only marry a FNH? What's the story behind it? I only got so far with an elven mage..

2. Lol.. Didn't think of that.. But I bet Alistair & Morrigan's child will appear someday, which makes the sleeping with her harder to bear.. ^^"

3. What do you mean? How does it work?

He can Marry any rqce of character so long as you don't make him King. As King of a Human country he couldn't very well Marry an elf or dwarf, the people and the courts wouldn't allow it. That's why only a HFN can become queen.

1. The Ferelden nobility will only accept a queen of Human queen, and one of noble blood.
2. Think of him as a sperm doner.  It really isn't so bad.  It allows you to stay together forever.
3. go to dragon age nexus for more information on modding for the PC.

And give Zevran and Leliana a try sometimes.  Both their romances are absolutely wonderful.

Edit: Nakedkana, I said that when answering her to begin with.  I am ninja!  Posted Image  But my answer was complete Posted Image

I believe you can become "consort" to Alistair the king even if non-human, although it's not easy to manage. You can do this even if Alistair marries Anora.

Very true, any female can become mistress to the king if you harden his personality.

After he has had his rather sad meeting with his sister, Goldanna, you have a cutscene conversation with him. One of the responses you can make is "everyone is looking out for themselves. You should know that." To harden him, you must select that response. There is a later cutscene conversation in camp where he discusses your earlier talk. In that conversation you must not back down off of that point. He will say something about looking out for himself more. If that happens, then Alistair is hardened.

OOC: I hate that choice. I don't believe it, so it's hard for me to choose it. But select it you must for Alistair to go along with you being his mistress after he marries the ice queen.

You have to finish Alistair's personal quest (visit his lovely sister) and then you need to choose a certain dialogue option to harden his personality. After the Landsmeet you can then become his mistress.

It all depends on your dialogue option after his personal quest -> to harden him choose 'everyone is out for themselves.' paraphrased obviously.

A few things at the Landsmeet, he is more willing to become king.
And in the epilogue you get a different Alistair king slide.

That's it, I think.

It makes him a happier, more confident person who's willing to look out for himself as well.

If you do become his mistress, does he leave the Grey Warden? Do you mentioned at the epiloge as his mistress?

And how does it affects on the Awakning expansion?

It still didn't get to my country, but my BF works at a computer games shop, so as soon as it'll arrive, he'll get me the collector's edition, if there's any..

It's also possible for both Alistair and Loghain to be present in the epilogue if Alistair is hardened.
