This is a big decision that goes deeper than just keep it or destroy it. (At least for me.) In most of my play throughs the 'keep it' idea seems like the best choice for the reasons outlined by your companions but that is not really the two choices. They are destroy it or give it to Cerberus if I am not incorrect. I have ended up destroying it in most cases because of the real choice in the matter. My character has destroyed the thing just to show he/she is truly not part of Cerberus as he/she claimed all through the game and to stick it to TIM. Whether that is the best move or not I guess we'll find out.
