I have questions about the acquisition method involved.

How do you check the balance of your points?

How do you purchase more if you don't have enough?

How does the pack download to your computer?

Go to "Profile" 2) "Add bioware points" 3) Confirm your account password 4)You'll see balance of your points 5) Choose how much bioware points you would like to buy and select "credit or Debit card " or " PayPal". 5) add credit card details 6) you will be able to buy bioware points if you have enough money...

Next: Select "Games" ( in the same line, where you can see "Home","Projects ,"Forum") -Mass Effect 2-Official DLC.Here you can see official downloadable content and buy it. Image IPB

I would have preferred COMBAT HARDSUITS, really, not this xenofashion garbage. Those glasses are exceedingly cheesy.

I completely agree. And Jack looks like a female version of Robocop with those  glasses.Image IPB

Personally I hate sunglasses unless they're absolutely necessary. If anything they'll hamper their ability in combat..

I'll buy it if the glasses are optional. I love Bioware, but I *really* hate the glasses.

That's not even taking into account the cutscene-ruining-eye-covering aspect.

I'm not condemning them for this. I'm just sadface that Jack's cool outfit comes with hideous glasses.

A lot of us want the crew to have (customizable) armor, so that they can survive battle and space more realistically and BioWare gives us... More (non-customizable armor and) costumes. But don't worry. This time they have dark and edgy shades. :P

It's been a while since I last saw that phrase turn up around here. Unfortunately, it does seem to perfectly describe the inclusion of these shades.

About the price... It seems one cannot buy 160 BW points. I hope there will be another DLC released for 400 BW points. That will allow people to buy 560 BW points (a number you can buy) and in that case they won't have any wasted points left.

"Some of your favorite characters" .... for crying out loud.... *eye roll*

This reeks of all the rest of the BS that happens on XBOX Live. 2 weeks from now, there will be another 'alternate costume pack' with "some of your favorite characters" including "Samara, Grunt and Jacob" for another 160 MP's. Rinse and repeat every two weeks until all 12 characters have their sweet CSI:Miami-shaded alternate costumes and the hard core fans are out 640 MP's...

Doesn't BioWare's description say "The Alternate Appearance Pack features new outfits for your favorite squad members, including Garrus, Thane, and Subject Zero."? The "including" in that phrase leads me to believe other characters are included too. Am I reading that wrong or do I misinterpret that?

Look guys! It's always the same model with a different textures (the Garrus armour is the original models without damages, subject zero is the same with a flat texture and they add a jacket - oooooo - and then thane they resized the inferno's armour arms and put it on the cloth) I meant look at Fallout 3, Oblivion, Dragon Age - All the greatest RPG - They GOT MOD SUPPORT TOOLS and AWESOME DLC/Expansion PACK.
Now bioware reply: Why no mod?

If they had finally given Jack & Thane armors, I would've bought it. But more suits that make absolutely no sense in a battlefield (Jack's straps giving you as much protection as Grunt's armor for example), no way.

Same.  but Id prefer the original blue visor.  That orange visor just doesn't look right.  Garrus looks better with the blue visor. IMO.  Anyway maybe Bioware can hold the thing off and change it in time or something.

imagine the 'emotionally engaging' moment when Jack visits you before the suicide mission, finally willing to admit to herself her feelings, growing as a person, tears in her eyes.

Another headdesk towards Bioware's recent downward spiral. Adding sunglasses to characters who spend most of their time in the 'dark grungy second act' in dark places just fills me with 'I Wear My Sunglasses At Night' douchiness. In the game, I only really alternate appearanced Jack so she could actually put some clothes on and not catch her death on the Normandy, although I do see the appeal of getting Garrus in some repaired armour. I love Jack's new look, but the childish futuristic sunglasses ruin it so much it's a definate dealbreaker.

why is it that bioware insists on making dlc that limits the facial animations aspect of their game? They give us armors that the helmets can't be removed and alternate looks with sunglasses to block out the characters eyes, well they eyes are where your players are going to be looking, so that should be the most important part of facial animations.

This.

They MUST check the forums, right? In order to see what people like and what people don't like in the game. There have been countless complaints on the immersion breaker that is unremovable helmets. You'd think they'd take that on board with future DLCs, but they're just pummelling it in. Perhaps the team caught sight of how popular the CSI thread is, and decided to give players the option. Next we'll see Ugly Shepard replacing the canon Sheploo and the galaxy will be doomed.

As it stands it isn't worth the effort of paying for. I'm not going to use it and I'm not completionist enough to buy it and let it sit unused. As a Cerberus Network DLC, this would have fared much better. It's only three outfits which are barely retextures, and have absolutely no combat benefit to use. The free armours and heavy weapons are already infinitely more useful than this. It's a shame, because customizability and the ability to mix and match like is possible with the player character would have made this worth the money, if not more. I really like Jack's outfit, minus the shades.
