Another headdesk towards Bioware's recent downward spiral. Adding sunglasses to characters who spend most of their time in the 'dark grungy second act' in dark places just fills me with 'I Wear My Sunglasses At Night' douchiness.
The Alternate Appearance Pack DLC

That's my call too, but I don't know why they'd delay fully announcing what's in the pack unless there is some point in watching posters flame about the value of the content.AngryFrozenWater wrote...
Doesn't BioWare's description say "The Alternate Appearance Pack features new outfits for your favorite squad members, including Garrus, Thane, and Subject Zero."? The "including" in that phrase leads me to believe other characters are included too. Am I reading that wrong or do I misinterpret that?
(I'd suggest they were guaging reaction and determining how many additional characters to include in the pack, but I don't think they'd be tinkering days before a release.)

But it made the horse look tougher. As someone said before, armor pack for every squad member for this price, and I might buy it.

The glasses had better be an optional part, I seriously doubt it though since we cant hide helmets. Think I’ll go watch Omega Vice, Illum Five-O or CSI: Citadel and see if its just the fashion statement from those shows…
The Abridged Mass Effect 2, a must read. http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/105/index/1777005

The Alternate Appearance Pack 1 through 4 is the name for the DLC and will be the name for all appearance DLC.
Putting including Suze, Thane, and Garrus clarifies who that pack will change.

Doubt it. There's vids leaked showing the alt costumes in game and it's only those three. I chalk it up to poor writing by Bioware. God knows they've screwed up release dates within the same posts before. They'll probably release another back for 3 more squad mates, but for 2 bucks you're not getting new costumes for everyone.

And for his neat red eyescreen.
If it was just Thane and Jack, I wouldn't bother.
I don't like the eyescreens/sunglasses either.
And yes, it's about time they added real armor.
It always has been silly to me seeing half my crew run around in leather clothing with no armor.
The toggle helmet option would also be nice to see return.
This could also be applied to sunglasses/headgear to switch those off.
It's frustrating watching my cutscenes and not being able to take the helmet off.

If they get rid of that stupid visor on Jack I would buy this DLC. I really like her outfit, but that visor thing looks beyond silly.

He may be sensitive to certain part of the light spectrum, his eyes may be sensitive, because he had them altered, he may have HUDs in those glasses, he may be hiding those fish eyes or he may just think its "cool"...Darth Drago wrote...
If the Drell are reptilian and come from a desert like world why would one need or want to wear sunglasses? You would think that the Drell would be very accustomed to bright lights coming from a desert world and probably have eye protection that are a result of their evolution.

Seems like it might be with how goofy the glasses are, but it will be released long before April 1st. That's a pretty early start for an April Fools joke. Generally with these jokes they put the release date for *after* April 1st because it's fake.

But I find it hard to believe that with all those comments about Jack's glasses, they will still put them in the final result. I mean, I don't mind adding accessories for a reason, but adding them just so that the characters looks more BA... I just don't see the point of it

Also, I never got why people complain about Garrus' facial scarring or implants, plus the holes in his armor. I thought battle scarring was admired, guess people went down.

Plus its only for three characters and I would suspect that EA/Bioware will release costume packs for the other characters ala costume packs in Street Fighter IV. And then have them all bundled up for a discounted price eventually. If I like enough of the costumes then that is when I will purchase it.
As it stands now I only use Miranda and Zaeed except for loyalty missions so this pack isn't worth it for me.

Alternate costumes for X-Box Avatars costing money? Pass.
Alternate costumes for Mass Effect 2 costing money? Pass.
Alternate costumes for pretty much any game that doesn't add anything, costing money? Pass.
