Worse, from what I understand it's not even for the whole squad. Thanks EA, we love you!

I think DLC of this nature cheapens the franchise.

This doesn't bode well for what's to come.

I refuse to refer to this as anything other than Mass Effect Horse Armor. The name "Alternate Appearance Pack" means nothing to me.

I dislike the glasses. Otherwise, I think they look pretty cool. :-)

As for "cheapening the franchise" - if you don't like it, don't buy it. I'm not sure yet if I can get over the ugly glasses, so personally I'm holding off on buying for now.  But different strokes for different folks!

I'm sorry to ask that but I see this expression everywhere... what do you mean by Horse Armor?

Ok, thanx for the quick answer.

And to your question. Horse Armor refers to the first DLC to Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. They released three different armors that could be attached to your horse.

2$ for 3 freaking outfits? Really? I rather throw those bucks out the window before supporting a rip-off like that.

Thanks Chris, I'll take Firewalker but I'm not wasting $2 to make Jack look like Geordi LaForge.

If they would have released the entire squads alternate appearance at once that would have been cool..

wtf@cost though, hammerhead comes out at sametime and thats free, yet they decide to charge by a minor pack thats 'less' than any of the free items on the cerberus network?

easier to believe all the crazy theorys now that zaeed/hammerhead etc was already ready at before games launchs and was stripped to make it look like the cerberus network was awesome - since they decide to charge us for a minor 3 costumes ...

160 point for 3?? what a joke.

should be more like 160 for one pack containing an additional costume for each character.

Its a testing of the waters like the horse armour, seeing how much money they can extort from the playerbase. Unfortunately people will buy it at that price and so justify that pricing. After all, why make something truly great when good sells better, as shown in panels 6 and 7 below (just replace game with dlc and good with rip-off):

Bah if the pack was indeed a costume for each character people would complain how it was only just 1 costume.

Heck if Bioware made it 2 per character and tacked on some gamer score and wrote each person a hand sighed check for $50 some people would still complain.

It was only two armors actually, steel and elven. And it made Shadowmere disappear if you equipped it on her :D The elven armor does look really good, though, and it's cost was the same as this packs. I only have it because it was a part of GOTY edition, i refuse to use money, no matter how little, to this kind of meaningles DLC.

But Bethesda did learn from that as evidenced by Shivering Isles and Fallout 3 DLC. We'll see if BioWare does..

Is some sort of unofficial "No sunglasses for Thane/Jack" possible on PC? I know that you can already edit the textures, but not sure about the models...

I see, the third one must have been a mod then :)

And Shivering Isles is one of the best DLC Ive played.

I like Thane/Garrus, and everything about Suze's but the opaque visor in front of her face.

Make it transparent please...

I'm actually debating getting this simply because they finally fixed Garrus' busted armor. That said, if I get it, I'm going to feel like such an a-hole for paying for something like this.

The first bit of downloadable content for TES: Oblivion was Horse Armor, and it was just that. Armor for your horse. It was way overpriced (about the same as some of their full add-ons for Fallout) and since little was announced before its release many people downloaded it thinking it was a proper addon. Needless to say there was significant backlash from the community.

While Bethesda learned from their mistakes and made some great DLC for Fallout, the term Horse Armor became somewhat of an Internet meme for overpriced and/or superfluous DLC. In this case I'm calling the AA Pack both.
