Basically, it all boils down to:
"If you like it, buy it. If you don't, don't buy it".
Nothing more then that needs to be said.
Because I'm pretty sure Bioware is going to keep putting them out regardless of what the naysayers think.

The original title of my post was "The Alternate Appearance Pack isn't free? Seriously?". I forget what exactly the post said, it was just a few lines inquiring as to why they would charge for this instead of putting it free on the Cerberus Network since 1) This is pretty much the exact kind of DLC you would expect to get for free on Cerberus, 2) The pack itself is poorly done in the first place, hardly worth charging for, and 3) Releasing the Firewalker pack for free on the same day and yet the one they decided to charge for was the costumes really made no sense to me.
After the thread started blowing up with replies, a mod came along about an hour later and completely overhauled my original post by erasing everything I said and merely turned it into an advertisement that the DLC was available and stickied it. I'm surprised they didn't re-erase my new edit.
Dude, delete the entire contents of the original post, and change the thread title back or to something else, that way they will have stickied a thread about how their dlc is not worth the money. They shouldn't be allowed to get away with crap like that, otherwise we lose faith in them and in our posts being safe from modding for their amusement. If they change it again then report them (I know its back to themselves, but it should push for some sort of explanation hopefully) and delete it all again.

First of all. No I won't buy it. I will however speak my mind (once) and say that I think it is a waste of development reseorces to drop reskin packs (yes I clearly understand that this DLC will easily double what was put into development, probably in the first 24 hours, and therefore it realy isn't a waste...) Thats not the point. In my opinion Biowares DLC resorces are better spent on other things. Hey, a reskin and renameing of an enemy would be more interesting. Others might feel the oposite, they are free to do so.
Second, yes, it is only 2 dollars, that is however irrelevant. It could have cost 10 cent and I still wouldn't have botherd with it. I wouldn't have botherd if it was free. The reason i complain is that I don't want to see more DLC like this, I have no use for just a new textrure of my teammates, it doesn't add anything of value to the game for me.
I want DLC, sure, but I must be slightly egoistic here and say my real thoughts about what I like and want to se more of, and what I do not like and want to see as little as possible of. Bioware will still make more packs like this if it give a decent profit.
And thirdly. I don't think Bioware is in danger if you do not buy every single DLC. Sure, if you like them go ahead. But if you blindly charge in and buy everything and never speak out, you just approve of DLC that you don't actualy want.

Well it isn't stickied anymore. I kind of wanted to leave up what they changed it to anyway, as proof that they did so. I've been kind of shocked that nobody has really noticed or cared that someone did that.

Points 1 and 2: The reasoning is that purchase of DLC, any DLC from any company is completely subjective.Ninjatroll wrote...
I have a hard time understanding the reasoning behind people that say,1) "if you don't want it, don't buy it", 2)"it's only 2$" and 3)"I want to support bioware, i'll buy anything, but this looks quite dull".
First of all. No I won't buy it. As you've pointed out in your own way, people will buy or refuse to buy these things dependent on whether it adds to their own gameplay experience. Personally, I will buy this (I like Jack's and Garrus' outfits... minus Jack's glasses). The price is low enough not to worry much about. Unlike when Pinnacle Station came out for ME1, which would've been useless for me.
Point 3: I have to agree with you about BioWare's safety margin as far as DLC is concerned. I would be more worried if ALL of BioWare's resources were put to work and only came out with this tiny costume pack being sold for the same price as an expansion pack. Thankfully, that hasn't happened. If something doesn't appeal, there's nobody forcing a sale. It's good to see something like this come out, because it's essentially a response to user feedback for what they want. Now, if you're not one of the users they've responded to with this, something's probably already in the pipe and it's just a matter of time. Better yet, it might come out on CN instead of have a price tag attached.

Bunch of ****ing little babies up in this. You ever realize that mods would change a topic if it's not being as productive? What has gone through this thread was just nothing but bickering and bashing of Bioware. ****, if I was a mod, I would delete this thread, then ban you so hard. Your thread wasn't meaningful at all, and was just more bull**** "Wah I don't have money to spend, so I am gonna hate" thread. Grow the **** up, crybaby.
It doesn't work like that.
2 bucks for 3 costumes is some BS.
I just woke up and that is the best I got for the next 60min.

Garrus A+
Jack B (Clothes are great but making sunglasses optional would be a must)
Thane... no grade because I don't care about Thane.

See, now if I was a mod and able to change your post like I just did in the quote here then you would be singing a different tune now wouldn't you? Seriously, it doesn't matter what the post was about, if the mods thought it was unsuitable then they should just delete it and lock the thread, not hijack it like they have done. Its an abuse of power and a matter of principle, though with people like you I would doubt that would concern you.

Good point, I would've taken a screenshot and raised the issue personally though I doubt you'd get any response to it since it would have to go through EA whose customer support is widely acknowledged as atrocious at best. Just goes to show what little we can do, and how others just don't seem to care about standing up for other anymore.
