Ok I’ve got Thane with his new cloths on and just like Jack the glasses look like crap. No ears on Thane so the especially look cheesy. With Jack they at least look like she had them affixed to her face with implants or something. His cloths is just another re-skin.

So the final verdict:
-Garrus: looks great in the new armor and his interesting looking headset mic thing.
-Jack: Love her new cloths but the glasses really suck.
-Thane: Not impressed at all with his re-skin color cloths or his glasses.

If you want to waste your money on this set then go for it, but it is not worth paying for just to get one good full set of alternate cloths. The glasses alone realy make this set not worth getting. If there was an option to remove the glasses then I would say differently since then at least you had Garrus and Jack with a new good clothing set.

*EDIT*

I just saw Thane with his request for a loyalty mission and my god it sucks now with his glasses on when he does his memory flashback thing.

Who came up with these stupid glasses anyway?

The Abridged Mass Effect 2, a must read. In the Spoilers Forum. http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/105/index/1777005

No point to this DLC to be honest adds nothing playable or long term to the game. Just a waste of money for some fancy clothes.

I don't know if this has been discussed already, but I was browsing through game add-ons on the Xbox Marketplace earlier today and saw that the alternate appearance pack was number one in the "top downloads" section. I don't know for which region the list I get is (I live in Sweden, Europe) or for which period it has been calculated (maybe this week?), but I thought it was interesting nonetheless. It was ahead of for example a couple of Fallout 3 dlc:s that were on 50% ($5) discount this week. Apparently it sells pretty well.

Agreed. Maybe if all 12 cohorts got new clothes for that price, I'd think about it. Even then, only if the other nine did not have those stupid ass glasses.

As to this being the top selling DLC at the moment: ME2 is still fairly new, and this is pretty inexpensive (if not worthwhile) DLC. I imagine many are dropping their extra MS points on it just to test it out. I doubt later appearance packs, which may even look a little better, will sell as well.

Well, I for one ain't buying it.

I like the 80s well enough, but I don't want to revisit the outfits everyone wore, thanks.

I would only be iterested in clothes for all twelve squad mates as well. And only if the clothes weren't casual, but armour. They have enough casual clothing as it is I think.

And I agree with you regarding the reason for selling well. It seems like good money though. The development cost for this must have been pretty low.

This... make a armour pack for the whole team, you may get some of my money if you do that.

I bought it because Jack needed some better clothes lol. I really like Jack and Garrus's new looks (except for Jack's shades. Don't care for those).

Seriously though, I like the new outfits. I couldn't take Thane's shades seriously at first and I was unhappy that they covered his chest with the new Feron-esque underarmor he has going on, but the look has grown on me and it goes well with his recon hood. Not something I'd have him wearing on things like his loyalty mission (same with Jack) where you pay special attention to the face, but a decent look to run around in otherwise.

Oh Bioware.... what can I say about this?

First, I didn't buy this dlc because of Jack's visor.

In addition, the VAST majority of Jack fans paragonized her. Some paragon clothing (aka normal) would be much appreciated. Even just removing the visor would be great.

If Bioware had just asked a few fans, they would have found this out and made a great product of dlc. Oh well... Image IPB

So, any inklings as to when the next one of these is going to be released?

Would be somewhat lame (more so than it already is) if these were spaced out 1-2 months apart...

I'm looking forward to Samara/Morinth, Miranda and Jacob outfits. There's got to be some outfit out there for Jacob that makes him more palatable. May I suggest something with a helmet or visor, so I can't tell that he's cross-eyed?

Bioware and EA are off their rocker. New texture mods for 2 bucks (and only 3 of them!). Please. This kind of thing should be free....

That is in fact the only good thing i can take from this pack.

Bring in armor for all characters that we can customize, that one i´ll buy.

I bought it just because I wanted to give it a shot and wanted to encourage more DLC's. With everybody hating on them, I REALLY doubt that bioware will make the same mistake twice and have more stupid glasses. And Shepard is getting new armor soon, just look at the Arc Projector thread.
