People download gamerpics and avatar items they have to pay for, but somehow paying for in-game character outfits is a ripoff? Okay. Also, Bioware is like, totally holding a gun to all our heads and making us buy this stuff, right.

Sarcasm ON :D Nice one!:P

Because there are other overpriced and useless gamerpics, avatars, furniture, and outfits does not make those items any less stupid.
EA Bioware adding to the list of stupid DLC at stupid prices doesn't make the option any less stupid.

Those opting to buy the above DLC doesn't make them any ( d  b ).

To a lot of people (especially the peeps who play Dragon Age as well), this is the type of thing a modder would have done relatively quickly and easily for free. If you look at the amount of visual mods out there for DA, there's a huge range from new (facial) hair, to armour/weapon reskins, to completely new models of weapons, armour, and even character companions. All of it's there for the taking, a search for what you like and a few clicks away.

When you have so many ( with some suprisingly high-quality) options available for one game, and Bioware throws out a new line of fashion in another for $2, that doesn't even cover all their characters, it definitely seems like a pants-stealer.

If the $2 got us an alternate costume for all the companions, I'd look on it a bit more kindly. As it is, I don't think I'll get it. I think they're relying on a lot of people just grabbing it because it's cheap without really thinking about what they're purchasing.

Refer back to "gun to your head" comment... if you're playing the game on PC and the available mods out there are good enough for you, okay, great, don't get this DLC - problem solved. I play it on the 360 myself, so stuff like this is my only option.

Well a price might have been given but the release date has been changed to "early April". I can feel another RtO coming...

-lol! I just checked it after reading your posting. Makes you kind of wonder whats wrong with it to casue a delay when it was so close.

its an april fools joke I tells ya

edit: jokes on us for thinking Jack and Thane get a new outfit.  to soothe our egos they'll give us Garrus skin for free.  its a good joke IMO.

So many profoundly ungrateful people here.

Perhaps the gaming industry should go back to the days where the game began and ended with the box it came in for a while.

That might vent some of the gagging sense of entitlement around here.

The thing that you seem to overlook is the ability that companies now have to push a product out the door unfinished and then add the stuff they didn't finish later.  Case and point: the Firewalker pack.  If this was never intended to be in the original product, then why are the controls for the tank in the shipped version of ME2?  This is a clear sign that they couldn't get the missions done in the time that EA pushed them to ship by.

Thus, I am glad that they are not charging me for it, but I also don't feel like it is something that they are developing for their customers IN ADDITION to the core content, it was in fact content that should have been in the box in the first place.

Plus, I'm not complaining about the content, my beef is mainly with the price.  The fact that the Zaeed and Kasumi DLCs seem to be rushed since they aren't fleshed out characters causes me to feel that the price should be lower.

I'm definitely going to wait to spend 160 MS points on the costume pack that includes Shepard's purple pimp suit.

Personally, I'll just be getting the packs that ADD to the game in general. I.E. Kasumi, Firewalker and any future packs like that. Adding extra costumes at a price seems to be a bad Idea, unless it's an armour for shepard, then it might not be a total waste of time. Then again they can add whatever DLC they want But "I" have the choice to buy it or not.

According to BW staff Firewalker wasn't even started until December and I have no reason to doubt that. The controls are in the game? So is dialogue to recruit Tali at Freedom's Progress. It didn't happen that way.

And since you're NOT paying for it it's not a valid prop for your point. Since it's not valid, it's another whine.

Play ME2 and tell me it's "out the door unfinished." It's not. The beginning, middle, and end are complete. KOTOR2 was incomplete. Assassin's Creed 2 and its two missing chapters, Chapters that they stated were meant to be in-game that were then sold for cash is an incomplete game.

$7 for Kasumi? I spend that much (ok $6.50) on a weekend matinee.

And I can't play that.

The only thing that would encourage me to pay for this "frivolous fluff" is the fact that Garrus now has his armour fixed. I am just wondering has it been confirmed that Garrus actually does have his armour fixed in this DLC or is it just another "con job" like the helmet issue ? Yes I know the pictures of the DLC pack clearly show that his armour is "fixed" but there are no in game screenshots and since the alternate costumes already in the game don't actually work in game I don't have much faith in this accessories pack.

I know a couple of quid isn't much to ask but I think I will wait and see what other users say about this DLC before I commit funds to it

No the Kasumi DLC and the Costume pack are NOT FREE. You have to pay for these DLC packs. The price is :-

Kasumi DLC = 560 MS points (or 560 bioware points for PC users)
Costume Pack = 160 MS points (or 160 bioware points for PC users)

You don't have to buy both, if you just want the Kasumi DLC then you just have to buy the Kasumi DLC.  You can find out more information here :-

I dont even care if they DLC includes the coolest armor for each member. I want the new dlcs to increases the game experience. Seriously, it looks like a joke to me, the hammerhead and the new missions free, but 3 new clothing (even if they are 11) we have to pay. Bioware have just lost some points on my personal ranking

I need it, Mass Effect DLC.... must have... give me more!

Please, I would love some of the pre-order and cross promotional items.

Forza did it, and in such a way that no one with the special edition was offended.

The Helmet toggle is a brilent idea, wish I though of that one, I give it my full support though.

I do not care if it is a new fish, or tube socks for yeomen Chambers, give me more...

Feed my data lust...

I have the sneaking suscpion that they'll release more alt costume packs for the same price - 3 new unis for 2 bucks a pop.  I wouldn't be surprised if these alt unis were designed in preproduction/early stages of development, and scrapped for the default ones in the vanilla game.  Have some entry level or intern bloke tweak them a bit and put them up for dlc for 2 bucks.  Low cost on their end and higher profit margin.

They're relying on the impulse buyer that doesn't mind 2$.  Especially the xbox owners out there, or people that don't feel like modding their own pc game.

I could see them putting out the next one when they put out say a Liara dlc or ''romance'' dlc or whatever just like they are with the hh dlc.

Yeah, I don't get that either. I don't mind or anything, but something like the Zaeed DLC or the Hammerhead missions obviously costs a heck of a lot more to develop, yet that was free and we have to pay for this? Obviously they're trolling for impulse buyers' money, same as with the avatar items and gamerpics on XBL (and I'm definitely guilty of playing that game, my avatar has an N7 t-shirt...), but clearly we're not being charged according to what the stuff is worth.
