have we jumped to the US civil war now I thought we were still on the Rev War

The US/British and French have always been in bed together.  Sometimes a threeway sometimes very rough sex.

that is without a doubt the funniest thing I've seen on here all night

to the person who is saying that the US kicked englands ass, remember that england was at war with 7 countries at that time on 3 continents

Not to mention a lot of European mercenaries coming over here to America and fighting for us. Hell, if i remember correctly, I think Lafayette arrived with a contingent of soldiers and offered to fight for free.

Don't forget that the Americans lost majority of the battles there and only started winning with French assitance.

I will say that the side the British were going to choose in the US Civil War was HILARIOUS.  At least they didn't completely provide assistance or **** would have gotten strange and honestly awkward for the British.

Well, if I remember correctly the Confederacy requested foreign assistance in exchange for territories/raw materials?

But obviously still in a war with France they declined.

Pretty much, unfortunately for the Confederates they didn't have the stability of the North or the manpower.  England could have provided assistance but I doubt it would have solved those two problems.

Plus the Union cut off New Orleans and Texas from the Confederacy this was crippling.

I may be mistaken but wasn't Russia also an ally with the North. Im guessing that may have detered Foreign interfearance

england could have provided assisance but could never support a country who had slaves (not that they would think of their own workers and the conditions they lived in witch could be described as slavish)

they still could have taken washington if they have had a decicive victory at the battle of gettysburg

Vicksburg was toppled on the same day this was the more decisive of the two as it put the stronger Union forces (Grant/Sherman) in great position in the South.  Gettysburg as a northern incursion would have been decisive but you still would have had the stronger Union army with better Tactical leaders in Vicksburg

Had they, after such a battle, been able to then get through the nineteen total forts guarding Washington in a ring...then yes.

Also even though Davis was a good general, he was a crap politician compared to Lincoln and probably made some bad decisions that probably was the final nail in the coffin for the Confederacy.

If my first posting didn't get through, I wish to apoligize for my misinformation. I was told wrong and I'll be the first to own up to the mistake. I was able to download it. But as you can tell, it did take me a while.

Its out for the XBOX users - buit somehow for PC users its propagating which seems silly since the PC side isnt tied into the XBOX thing.

Great, quote spam and armchair generals debating the plausible effects of different aftermaths of past wars and conflicts have taken over. This can mean only one thing: the official DLC release for the PC version will soon be upon us.
