Obviously this is a MAJOR improvement from the Zaheed DLC. Just wish there was more interactive dialogue with her cause she really was a great written character Imo.

overall good dlc.hated the forced scottish accent of the antagonist
haha it wasnt scottish, it was south african.. i half expected him to say he couldnt be touched because he has diplomatic immunity
as to the DLC itself, i wasnt expecting much at all. got up bought it.. suprised at the size of the download .. almost 1 gb then sat down and reloaded an old save and tried it out..
im impressed, well written, very original, very mission impossible, haha im still curious about how a certain item got to the vault, haha that really did suprise me. took me a little bit to figure out how to get into the private rooms, although that was purely because of lack of exploration.
great mission, great character, interesting abilities. now that bioware is how to do it.
the little black dress looks good on my femshep, although when she walks she still looks like an alliance marine in a dress haha

*SPOILERS BEGIN HERE*
- Talking to an advertisement for a while seemed a bit weird, wouldn't people turn their heads for that? Was neat to get into contact with Kasumi that way, but holding an entire convo with it seemed sloppy to me instead of going to meet somewhere more private;
- I didn't get why the guard to the antagonist' private room was Conrad Verner with a bigger nose, different voice and a black Eclipse armour. Why not give him a regular Eclipse outfit like all the other mercs? Same goes for 2 guests wearing ambassador Udina's outfit, just seems kinda weird/ out-of-place thus killing some immersion imo;
- Only 1 squadmember (in this case, Kasumi) can join you on this mission. Wouldn't it have been more fun to have a second come along as well, just for continuity' sake (as you can always take 2 along in every mission)? Male companions could make for good dating partners for FemShep and bodyguards for MaleShep (and vice versa when your main is MaleShep). Would fit in storywise nicely imo;
- Barely any new lines for the other squadmembers. Joker didn't say anything about Kasumi joining the crew (although he always had his opinion ready for other people that joined Shepard). Joker also didn't answer Shepard when he/she asked Joker to send a scuttle ASAP. Some copy-pasting would have filled that right up, although I'm sure they're just trying to avoid having to pay for the additional lines by Joker, etc...
- The Graybox dilemma: Why can't you look at the data before deciding to destroy it or not? People would be able to make a better decision that way if they knew how bad this data made the Alliance look. Almost seemed like I was playingTexas Hold'em Poker where I had to call, check or raise without even being able to look at my hand.
A lot of this is nitpicking, I'll give you that but it's the details that make games great imo. Almost every game gets the big picture right, but details sets games apart from the others.
*SPOILERS END HERE*
Aside from that, the rest was pretty good. Kasumi is a nice addition to the team, but that's about it

You want to know what even more priceless. Go talk to Garrus while wearing that dress and notice how Shepard sits when talking to him. Shepard clearly never went to charm school.

What hell is the problem with actually being able to talk to your people instead of just triggering monologues by clicking certain objects.
She even spurts one "Hey, got a minute?" when you click her and I just wanna go "YES! Tell me your troubles!" but I can't freaking talk to her....
I was okay with Zaeed being this way because he was free but we paid for her and so I'm really disappointed.... I bought Warden's Keep, Ostagar etc. and so far I have not been disappointed by any of your DLC but this is a slap in the face. I expected a character just as deep, interactive, interesting and entertaining as Jacob, Tali, Miranda etc. The character essentially cost about a 10th of the retail price of the game, so more than any other character. But she is none of those things. I finished her sidequest, now she's just sitting there like Zaeed and I can't see myself keeping any interest in the character over the course of the game.
So far I did not hesitate a second when it came to buying your stuff, I've been a loyal fan, I went so far as not really getting information on your stuff anymore because I already knew that it'd be great and I'd love it.
You had never disappointed me, I trusted you to deliver just the best.
I don't anymore.
A big part of you building up that reputation, for me, was the depth of your characters. Any retail ME2 character shows that, they are great. But with Zaeed, Kasumi an DA:Awakening you have started going down a road in character development that I really don't like.
And yes, I was fully expecting a romance for the price of the DLC. I was expecting a full crew member not something half-assed like Zaeed. You did not deliver. I don't think I will buy any other character-DLC unless you go back and create the characters the way that made the original ME2 characters, ffs, ME2, DA: Origins, BG2 etc. characters.. great.
I don't much care about the new weapon or whatever, I bought the character because I wanted a 'person'. I'd gladly have traded any new weapons, abilities whatever for her just having normal dialogue options.
Seriously Bioware, I'm close to losing my faith in you.
On another note... I'm usually not one to complain because of difficulty. But this is... too hard.
This playthrough was supposed to be my Insanity one, with my imported ME2 character from my last playthrough. Play it on Insanity, to absolutely everything,do the Tali romance, carry the save over into ME3. So far I did everything on Insanity in this playthrogh.... I stopped in the last fight. Seriously... pitting 2 people against armored mechs? Damn, took me a couple tries but, ok, nailed it.
But... 2 people against 'respawning' hordes of (shielded/armored) enemies AND a FREAKING SHIELDED GUNSHIP?! I'm all for challenges but this.... ****.... I switched back to Insanity after this and will finish the game this way, again, but wish I'd also get the achievement, which I won't I guess.

Its not too bad, I found the best place to stay is out in the middle of the platform where there's plenty of cover from both sides. Basically what you want to do is take out the first wave from where you start, then move up to where the first wave came from and take cover there, and you should be mostly ok there for the rest of the fight.
The game auto-saves once you get the shields offline. That makes life easier, the fight is definately a beating though.

Still by far best DLC so far (neither one from DAO was even close to this one). It was absolute fun to play. It added this TV-Sci-Fi-series flair to the game that I adored while playing the whole game. Each mission was a short story, full of detail and pretty much unique like a good TV-series that you enjoy watching and this DLC simply added another very good episode.
Excellent work BioWare, keep it up!

I wish there was a way to switch my cabin for her cabin, her's is so much cooler! The level was awesome, the gun is epic, the story is win, and her character story is one of if not the best in the game. Well worth the delay

The mission itself was fun too femShep putting a Renegade femShep in evening wear is priceless, especially for those Intimidate options for breaking up the fights on the Normandy.

Not 100% sure about Vanguard - I have the feeling that the Tempest does a bit more damage and I found that SMGs are a nice "alternative" shotgun to follow-up charges (I just don't like the handling of shotguns, they're a bit too high risk-high reward for me). I could see the Tempest filling that role a bit better than the Locust - but haven't tried it yet.cynicalsaint1 wrote...
It is a cool add-on though, the Locust is definitely a good choice for Adepts/Vanguards/Engineers who lack a good long range option. I think I'd stick to the Tempest as an Infiltrator though-which I'm fine with, I'm much happier with new weapons for new situations than I am with paying for overpowered DLC stuff.
My mainShep (engineer) loves the Locust, though.

Quite fun. FemShep actually kinda hot in eveningwear. The Locust is now my new staple SMG as the Tempest just tends to spray and pray.

See, I was thinking it'd make a good way to soften up enemies before you charge in with your shotgun. Its accuracy makes it easy to spray down a closely group cluster of enemies, and strip off shields/barriers, even armor goes down pretty quick with Warp Ammo. As it is a Vanguard really only has the Heavy Pistol for long range, which if you're using the Hand Cannon doesn't give you a lot of ammo to work with. Vanguard already owns close quarters with as it is, figure helping offset its weakness is always a good thing.Lord_Tirian wrote...
