The DLC on the whole was really good. It's annoying that we had to wait so long, but it was worth it. Now that we finally have all 12 squad members available, I plan on making my main playthrough for importing to ME3.

My mainShep is a vanguard and the Locust is great for the times when there is too many enemies to charge at them. It has the best accuracy and does a lot of damage especially when you have upgrades and weapon damage increasing armor on.Lord_Tirian wrote...
Not 100% sure about Vanguard - I have the feeling that the Tempest does a bit more damage and I found that SMGs are a nice "alternative" shotgun to follow-up charges (I just don't like the handling of shotguns, they're a bit too high risk-high reward for me). I could see the Tempest filling that role a bit better than the Locust - but haven't tried it yet.cynicalsaint1 wrote...
It is a cool add-on though, the Locust is definitely a good choice for Adepts/Vanguards/Engineers who lack a good long range option. I think I'd stick to the Tempest as an Infiltrator though-which I'm fine with, I'm much happier with new weapons for new situations than I am with paying for overpowered DLC stuff.
My mainShep (engineer) loves the Locust, though.

Try Arc Projector. It's basically *made* for that fight.But... 2 people against 'respawning' hordes of (shielded/armored) enemies AND a FREAKING SHIELDED GUNSHIP?! I'm all for challenges but this.... ****.... I switched back to Insanity after this and will finish the game this way, again, but wish I'd also get the achievement, which I won't I guess.
I used the Arc Projector, but it went out of ammo in those tunnel fights already.

Depends on the Shepard I guess. Mine is a Vanguard, can't really use the Charge there anywhere or you're toast. And I got Warp Ammo as the special ability, which is also kinda pointless there. Maybe another class/special ability would have made all the difference.

Energy Drain would have probably been handy. It would have been slow going still, since charging is still dangerous, but at least you'd have something to take shields down with, also would help with survivability since it also charges your own.OneEntity wrote...

And again, I can stress how handy the Arc-Projector was for this fight.

Seriously.... WHAT THE HELL?!.... I really, really hoped this was not another Zaeed. I want to TALK to my guys, I figured now that we actually had to pay for this DLC this character would be just as interactive as the 'standard' characters. But now, it's all Zaeed and DA:Awakening again.
What hell is the problem with actually being able to talk to your people instead of just triggering monologues by clicking certain objects.
She even spurts one "Hey, got a minute?" when you click her and I just wanna go "YES! Tell me your troubles!" but I can't freaking talk to her....
I was okay with Zaeed being this way because he was free but we paid for her and so I'm really disappointed.... I bought Warden's Keep, Ostagar etc. and so far I have not been disappointed by any of your DLC but this is a slap in the face. I expected a character just as deep, interactive, interesting and entertaining as Jacob, Tali, Miranda etc. The character essentially cost about a 10th of the retail price of the game, so more than any other character. But she is none of those things. I finished her sidequest, now she's just sitting there like Zaeed and I can't see myself keeping any interest in the character over the course of the game.
So far I did not hesitate a second when it came to buying your stuff, I've been a loyal fan, I went so far as not really getting information on your stuff anymore because I already knew that it'd be great and I'd love it.
You had never disappointed me, I trusted you to deliver just the best.
I don't anymore.
A big part of you building up that reputation, for me, was the depth of your characters. Any retail ME2 character shows that, they are great. But with Zaeed, Kasumi an DA:Awakening you have started going down a road in character development that I really don't like.
And yes, I was fully expecting a romance for the price of the DLC. I was expecting a full crew member not something half-assed like Zaeed. You did not deliver. I don't think I will buy any other character-DLC unless you go back and create the characters the way that made the original ME2 characters, ffs, ME2, DA: Origins, BG2 etc. characters.. great.
I don't much care about the new weapon or whatever, I bought the character because I wanted a 'person'. I'd gladly have traded any new weapons, abilities whatever for her just having normal dialogue options.
Seriously Bioware, I'm close to losing my faith in you.
On another note... I'm usually not one to complain because of difficulty. But this is... too hard.
This playthrough was supposed to be my Insanity one, with my imported ME2 character from my last playthrough. Play it on Insanity, to absolutely everything,do the Tali romance, carry the save over into ME3. So far I did everything on Insanity in this playthrogh.... I stopped in the last fight. Seriously... pitting 2 people against armored mechs? Damn, took me a couple tries but, ok, nailed it.
But...
You really ask a little too much. For the cost of a 1st run matinee you got a good hour and a half of interactive, playable content that really was a fun little heist caper and more entertaining than some movies I've seen.
And I got a decent piece of casual wear for FemShep. Yes, it's a cocktail dress, but the closest thing to "casual" until now made her look like a refugee. And on MaleShep the look does nothing but scream "gay cowboy"
And I got a new weapon. A good weapon for a category that has been pretty underserved until now considering the SMG is the base utility weapon for most classes. So while YOU might have traded those things in for a few spins on the Wheel of Dialogue, that untimately take you to the same nowhere as virtually every other crewmate I'm not in that boat with you.
As for the fights? The last boss battle even on insanity isn't hard. It's a tedious straight forward war of attrition, but it isn't hard.

Anyway, Kasumi herself just said she was Japanese, found out when she was talking about Jacob, and her being slightly attracted to him.

wait a minute, someone has a geth assualt rifle, that was my favourite from mass effect 1, where did you get a geth assault rifle???? as for Kasumi, shes quite adorable, looks sinister in that hood but her voice and manner is playful and confident, different from everyone else, im on my 7th or 8th playthrough now im keeping her in my squad, but hey, where is the geth assault rifle???
Recruit Tali on Hardcore or Insanity and I believe it's in the final room where you meet her, tho it's been a while for me so i can't say for sure.

Kasumi DLC is fun, but it detracts from the mood when shepard (Male or Female) 'hobbles' about the place. Shouldnt that injury have healed by now?

@ OneEntity I don't get your problem with the mission itself. It's been said hundreds of times in this thread she would not be interactable with. And I think she didn't need to be, due to her personality, and the fact she comments ALOT in missions.
Romance-wth??!! She's still recovering from the loss of her partner-who she seemed incredibly distraught over the loss of, especially when she's watching the hologram. Did you even play the mission?
The weapon was very useful and gave attention to a weapon class that needed it, as has been said. It also looks kickass. So there.

Exactly my thoughts, i guess 90% of people that complain about this don't understand what a relationship is, let alone love.

+1, and also, one of my favorite things about Kasumi is that she's basically the only female character in the whole damn game that's not attracted to my Maleshep, harmless flirting on the way to the party notwithstanding. Finally a woman who doesn't fall over herself as soon as Shepard walks into the room, seriously.

haha yeah, she seems more interested in femshep than maleshep, maybe Keiji had a small... Yeah lets not go into that.
But i just love the depth of her. Its not over the top and it isnt completely useless. She more or less acts like a best friend. Someone you'd happily sit and talk to for a while. Plus another thing about her i like, is how shes alot like Liara in the sense that once she sees something she likes she goes off into her own world about it.
And to those complaining about how her speach is useless. If you choose to get her at the start of a new game like i have, after every main quest and side quest go talk to her. She always has a comment.

Wow just wow at the latest DLC
Kasumi is so in depth every new thing that happens, if you go to her and talk to her she comments on it. So if anyone is looking for a good 1st mission go for Kasumi first. Its fun, epic and plus after every main mission, side mission, everything she has at least one comment to say. Such as the cooks ramen being okay, then when you get the ingredients she goes on about him suddenly becoming a good cook.
Her main move that makes her hit like 90% damage when shes invincible is amazing. The mission was one of the funnest ive done, more fun when you do it as your first cause its more of a challange.
The girl formal wear is the best. The guys is okay but its still nice.
Love the fact i can mix my own drinks on my ship, who doesnt need there own bar!?
The new smg is just... Well wow. At first i didn't like it, but its grown on me and i use it more than my sniper now. Though i still need the sniper for the more beefy enemies.
Oh and finally her Loyalty outfit is really really nice too... Maybe if we're lucky she might even get neons in another DLC (like garrus ;D)
But there is one down side... Why couldn't we have stolen his house, would have been cool a bit like how we were able to own a house on Mass effect 1 (if you made the bet for it on the dlc)

I was a Vanguard and just hid over in the left back corner and used my smg and machine gun on the gunship and LOKI's while Kasumi kept the mobs busy. I was on Insanity and only took a few tries. I woulda used the Arc Projector but not thinking I brought the flamethrower. X |

I'm not disappointed that I bought it but I just wished that they would have given you that bit of info, I feel that when you choose to destroy or keep it, knowing what this "important" info is would have been nice to help with the decision.

Kasumi rocks with my alt shep, I never thought two badass invisible assassins could tear it up so much. Try it Infiltrator Shep, Kasumi and Tali... or if you like biotics go for Jack or Samara and switch for tali. Still awesome DLC.

Why would they tell you? You know it will have some huge effect on the next game. The Tali Loyalty Mission is an example, it doesnt tell you whats going to happen now that she, well I dont spoil, but you all know what happens if you dont habe enough paragon/renegade, also another thing is last game you put Anderson up for being the council person(That was in ME) That had something to do with this game, and im sure in the next game it will as well. Its a Trilogy and you wont know everything till the end of ME3.
