Of course not dead, we'll get at least 3 Alternate Appearance Packs, the promised Liara DLC for Redemption, and who knows what else :D

Pics or it didn't happen! But no really - where you getting this info from?

Well, the Alternate Appearance Packs are pretty obvious, and the Liara DLC is mentioned in the final issue of Mass Effect Redemption: users.atw.hu/foundation/Upload/Redemption_last_page.jpg

The Kasumi Stolen Memories DLC interests me. I'd like to purchase it, but when I try to buy Bioware points I'm not given an option to buy only the 560 points that I need for this item. I don't know why this should be so, since the DA:O site does offer a 560 point option for items such as RtO.

As it stands, I'm forced to purchase more points than I need for this product. I don't see why I should want to do so, since I don't know if I will ever want to purchase any other DLC.

My suspicion is that EA is doing this intentionally. We buy 800 points for a 560 point item, and so are left with 240 points and nothing we want to spend it on. Then when the next DLC package comes out, well, it may not be just what we want, but we've got these 240 points sitting around doing nothing and that's enough to make us hit the BUY button. But that means we have to buy more points to cover the difference, and that leaves us with a few odd points in the account. And so on, ad nauseam.

I can't be sure this is what EA has in mind (I mean heck, it could just be an oversight on the part of the web team), but if so they surely weren't the first to think of it. Others have done this sort of thing before, and it always shows a deep lack of respect for customers.

Well, I won't be playing that game. If you want me to buy DLC for 560 points, then let me buy 560 points from you. Otherwise you can kiss my custom goodbye.

Really?

Second option for me is 560 bioware points for $7. Just got it the other day, no hassles, no leftover points.

Hmm, I wasn't aware of that URL. When I try to buy the Kasumi DLC and click the "purchase points" link on the checkout page, it does not give me that option at all. The nearest it gets is 800 points.

I guess that's my answer. It's an oversight by the website team, after all. Thanks for the URL, Dessirris.

I know. I mean ... an oversight by the website team? Has such a thing ever been heard of?

I thought of saying it another way, but I try to avoid crude language whenever possible. :D
