Every time I play 2 minutes against the Queen of the Blackmarsh the game Crashes - anyone else have this problem?

same here. seems to crash during the lightning attacks.

Every time for me, too. Right when she takes flight before an attack.

All right, so after having this same problem with the High Dragon later on, I decided to zoom all the way out and I had no crashes through either fight.
Wow, though, was that annoying.

well... in my case she doesn't even spawn... when i climbthe staurs .. KaBoom! - NOTHING!

Hi,
Got the latest updated release of the game and well, like many I'm blocked in that damn Black Marsh area just after defeating the Drake called queen of the Black Marsh, so when the boss is killed the blue wall disapear and I can do down a bit to the stairs until I reach the end of the fog where I'm blocked by an invisible wall which is located at the end of stairs, just before the place where you can rebuild the Drake's head with the bones you previousely get exploring the map.
So impossible for me to leave that map with my party, I've also try to restart this area from the begining using an older savegame I made just before leaving the fort but I always got the same result.
As soon as I defeat the mother's messenger, the Sorceress of the city teleport my team back to the material plan on the north west of the map with Justice re-incarned in the dead body, and the drake popup after exchanging two or three words with my team, I engage the combat and kill the drake, loot the corpse and the pill of gravel to get the old dragon bones and leave the area using after the blue fence disapear but some invisible wall remain at the end of the stairs and I cannot leave the place.
So any idea ? solution ?

Hi Dears,
I've found a way to avoid beeing stuck in the Black marsh when the fight ends near the baroness domain just after meeting Justice on the immaterial.
So, when you first meet Justice, he will grossly explain that he came here to judge the Baroness and propose you to join and help him to defeat the Baroness.
The clue here is to refuse to give him your help to defeat the Baroness, even if he, and his friends will be disapointed about your decision, so, refusing to help him will allow you to ask to meet the baroness herself and make a deal with her, the deal consist to defeat Justice and the villagers in exchange she will sent you back on the real world.
When your decision is made Justice will interrupt your discussion with the Baroness, as you will see the Mother's Messenger will be on Justice side instead of the Baroness, after exchanging few words the fight will begin, so defeat the messenger and you will be sent back where you find out the dead warden with a surprise ... and no bug this time.

i find certain combinations of attack / defence mods active at the time of some spells being cast crashes my game. since installing awakening its been happening in origins aswell. try turning off modes like rally or healing aura at the point it crshes and see if you can get through it. + which party members are you using?

@Punt_V: On PC with 1.03 and *no* mods installed (only BW DLC) I was able to get through this quest and all of Blackmarsh with no invisible walls, and agreeing to support Justice. I'm guessing that there's either a mod you have installed or a sustainable you're running that is causing some of your more recent issues. See other threads in the support forums about "invisible walls".
Crashing during major battles (particularly right near the end)--yep, I've had that too. In my case, it appears to be either video card or CPU overheating. As much as I've not wanted to believe it when previously playing on a desktop (under 1.02 with several mods) I started Awakening on a laptop with no mods and the only consistent thing about when CTD triggers is that the fan exhaust is *hot*.

I've got a weird bug with mine. Justice disappeared, he ended up where i killed the baroness lol And now he can't get back to where the fight is as there's a barrier their. Confusing.

Hi all have had relatively few troubles but CTD for sure when theres lots of lightening effects mainly at the start of the dragon fight.
Re-starting the game then appears to work fine second time around. I was using Velanna, sigrun, justice and my main char was the orlesian warden not an imported one this tim e through.
The only other possible bug? I've found so far is I tried to use a combination of disorient / hex / nightmare type spells and the dragon ended up facing a wall and literally not moving for the rest of the fight until slain.... very odd - only been able to do it the once mind and on a different char play through similar spells didnt even faze it and fight went on normally
As for temperature i'm always montioring mine and no problems there for this particular CTD. Admittedly since patch 1.03 in origins and now with awakenings, playing the game for extended lengths of time sees anything from frame skipping / slowdown to CTD (I know theres been other threads regarding memory leaaks etc)
But on the whole if I do get problems its sporadic so i've not been too bothered while enjoying the whole origins experience immensely

This game is just a bug in it's own.
Blackmarsh was never even made available for me to travel to.
No help on the matter, so I'm assuming there's no workaround. Guess I'll revert to a save way earlier and cross my fingers.
Good luck on fixing your crashing.

From what I understand (other forum posts), the invisible walls happen when you have the advanced tactics mod installed. Once you remove this, no invisible walls. I've defeated the Baroness 3 play throughs with no invisible wall issues. I do not have the ATM installed.
I have had some crash issues mostly related to to my graphics card. I also crash when Apple's auto update activates (stupid Apple product!). For me its worse with sustained energy blasts in ME2 than in any Dragon Age software. I just assumed its a graphics driver issue as I have much fewer crashes prior to the driver update.

This is a [NO SPOILERS] forum, but I'll tell you that if Blackmarsh "was never even made available" then you probably ought to look around more in someone's room at the inn...maybe look closely at the walls...

I too have trouble with the invisble wall in the fog after defeating the dragon. My main problem though is that I never assembled the skeleton and did not fight the Baroness prior to the dragon.
When my party reappears in Blackmarsh, there is first the conversation with Justice and right after that the fight with the dragon starts...
Any idea how that might happen? The only mods I have running is some equipment, some hair and bright eyes...

After killing the dragon, the body won't be lootable, it just remains on the ground.
(No crashes or weird invisible walls though, just no loot except for the item in the rubble) :S
