Any movie about Mass Effect should focus primarily on just a few characters, there isn't enough time in a movie to really get the kind of character development you need if you try to give a dozen of the teammates equal time. I'd focus on just the four characters that are the most liked. FemShep, MaleShep, Liara, and Tali. In the movie the two Sheps should be brother and sister, thats how you explain them both being in the movie. I would definitely go with Jennifer Hale as FemShep, since she's already proven how awesome she is as FemShep. I'd upgrade at the MaleShep position. I'd want to keep the original Tali and Liara also, but I suppose you'd have to see the Liara actress in blue makeup to know for sure :) .

I'd make the movie itself mostly along the lines of the ME1 story, I'd make Saren the head bad guy, and instead of it just being one Reaper I'd make them be up against a lot of them, that way when the good guys win at the end it feels more like a good movie ending, that you've really saved the galaxy, not just won a small victory in a bigger war. Thanks to both Sheps being in the movie we'd have plenty of romance, as MaleShep would be with Tali, and FemShep would be with Liara, so plenty of room for romance between battles :) .

If they do it that way the movie will be a big success. If they just use one Shep, and try to do adequate character development for a dozen teammates, its just going to be yet another 'video game movie' flop. Focus on the characters that everybody likes, give cameos to a few others, and then focus on the main story, thats the recipe for success!

I'd rather have Mass Effect as an animated movie rather than a live-action movie. Well Yvonne Strahovski should be Miranda, all you need is to dye her hair black. Kanye West should be Jacob (like that would ever happen...). Can Mike Vanderloo speak English?

I'm agreeing on the animated movie bit.  Jump out of the norm for terrible video-game movies.

Yes. If there is a Mass Effect movie, I'd like it to be animated like the cut scenes. That's what I've wanted all along.

But no thanks to Kanye. Image IPB

Aye, but I disagree with Hemsworth.

With some makeup and CG to make him look a bit older, he'd be just fine.

Oh, wait, he's the guy playing Thor, I was thinking of someone else. Yeah, he would be a good Shepard.

I think Henry Cavill from "The Tudors" would make a good male Commander Shepard (and let's face it, Shep would probably be male in a movie).

I think Timothy Olyphant would make a good Kaidan.

I see Rebecca Romijn making a good Samara or Benezia, she's worn enough blue paint that an asari wouldn't be a stretch for her.

Yvonne Strahovski is a shoo-in to play Miranda.

I don't know about Seth Green playing Joker, I would actually prefer to see another actor in the role.

I'd like to see Carolyn Seymour play Dr. Chakwas.

IMO, there shouldnt be a Mass Effect movie based off of Commander Shepard. Maybe a movie set in the ME universe with different characters.

I think Shepards actor should be a powerful one with a strong voice rather than one chosen by his physical similarities with the "predefined Shepard". Someone like Clive Owen or Gerard Butler.

Or maybe Sam Worthington, or a younger Bruce Willis.

And in the CG Movie vs Live Action movie i'm on the Live Action side. I prefer it by far. A live action movie with just the needed CGI. If something can be done using real elements, it should be done that way.

I would go with Emilio Estevez for The illusive man. Looks more like Martin than Charlie does.

Doubtful SyFy would have the budget for him so I was going for a cheap look alike.

Charlie Sheen is one of the highest paid TV actors. $860,000 per episode of Two and a Half Men according to an article from August last year I dug up, with TV Guide listed as the source.

Christian Bale as Commander Shepard.

There is no other alternative.
