Not a bad list except Worthington probably wouldn't do it because its a Video Game movie. Chris Pine wouldn't be in the Mass Effect just because he's the new face for Star Trek, and Jake is to high profile to play a character that is support cast. Also Gemma doesn't have the build for Ashley. I do like your Katsumi picks though even thought if she's in the second movie it will just be a very small role, thats why I picked Olivia Munn.

If they can't find anyone suitable, just do what they did with Bladerunner, get the model of Commander Shepard to do the all the acting and then Mark Meer to do the voice-over narration.

We're in the 21st century now, we can do performance capture (Beowulf, Polar Express, Avatar) and scan one person's face, and capture the actor's facial performance and apply it to the scanned model.

I understand but I don't think many people would want a CGI main character in a live action movie.

 You guys have to understand. Most aliens in the Mass Effect movie are going to be CGI and not real actors in makeup. So the voice actors in the game will be doing the voices in the movie.

Also another problem is that a lot of the voice actors don't look like there characters. For example I think Keith David looks nothing like Anderson but he has to play the character because Davids voice is so unique and connected with the character he has to play him. But other characters like Joker, Miranda and Illusive Man will be fine since the characters look so much like there actors.

thats right I'm quoting myself just because half of you are just saying the same S***** actors over and over again, by the way the ones saying it will be all CG can go F*** themselves, the only aliens that will need CG is the Krogan, Rachni, Geth, Elecor, Hannars. The Asari, Turrians, Quarians and Volus wont be CGI because they can easily do them with make-up, I mean have you seen what amatures are doing with Cosplay now days. Start making some full lists for the movies like I have people.

Until you make a list of actors that you'd want in the movie your opinions mean absolutely nothing to me, do a list then you can critique mine. I chose Timothy Olyphant because I enjoy his movies Im sure there's an actor you like that I despise. I chose Karl Urban for the fact that he's probably going to get cut from the next Star Trek unfourtunately, he's also done quite a few action movies, and he's got a dark comedic style to his acting which is perfect for Garrus because that character wont be CGI, even though I'd enjoy the actual VO he just doesn't have what it takes to be in the movie for his character again I'd love to be proved wrong. I also chose Grevioux, I will add that he's my backup choice I'd perfer the VO to voice his own character if he's up to it, if not though theres few people with that natural deep voice that could pull of Wrex like Kevin Grevioux could.  So there you have it there's my answer, just make a list man you get good suggestions and helpful tips, Im glad you brought those up.

Not entirely sure if its legit or not, but here is a pretty convincing Mass Effect movie trailer I found on Youtube that shows James Caviezel as Shepard. This doesn't look like it could be for anything else, as the scenes seem to take elements straight out of the games, but I could be wrong and its from another movie. If so, its a movie I've never seen before or even heard of. Looks very convincing though, so if its not legit, my hat is off to whoever forged it lol..

eh.. I did googling after I got the news about Mass Effect Movie, and I came up with some articles saying Matthew Fox was going to be a Commander Shepard and it has been confirmed.
I think Matthew Fox as Shepard isn't bad idea. Since the first time i have seen John Shepard, I think of Matthew Fox. They look very smiliar. Also .. I didn't know Matthew Fox is in his 40s. wow. He does look much younger!
