If you'd go for a male Mark vanderLoo will simply have to brush up on his acting skills. I mean just look at the man:

I have seen that name pop up periodically here but had no clue (nor interest) in looking him up. That pic, however, makes me seriously wonder if they didn't model their default Shepard on the guy. Almost down to the scar in the hairline on his left temple, he is a virtual dead-on match. Ear shape, nose stucture, eyes, hair (in the pic at least), etc.

Gad. Hope they don't go on to use him in the movie. Don't want wooden actors or cardboard cutouts in the lead (or anywhere else for that matter).

You know, Sheppard's got a pretty wooden face in the game as it is. As long as Vanderloo can do the Infamous-Sheppard-Rape-Face, I don't think it would take a skilled actor to portray Sheppard accurately, lol.

Ya know ya guys, Mark Vanderloo is an old dude. That picture is in black and white for a reason.



Anyhow, you know who kinda has Shepard's face, the lead singer from 30 Seconds to Mars, Jared. When his head's shaved (see: Was it a Dream acoustic version on YouTube) they look very much alike. ( I'm not saying the dude's an actor though -.- Just an observation.)

^Well Sheppard isn't really that young... provided the movie can get off the ground in a couple years, Vanderloo should still be able to do the face shots. All stunts will be handled by a double, of course.

Or maybe if this 3d fad keeps going, they'll give the movie the Avatar treatment, and age won't matter anymore, just voice and motion captures.

Shepard's around 30 in the game, it tells you in the timeline. Anyway I think Gerard Butler might actually make an ok Shep, and Charlie Sheen might be able to play TIM, but he'd have to be pretty classy to pull it off. Jacob maybe Jamie Foxx?

I vote animate it (2D, baby!) so they can get away with using the original voice cast. They weren't the best out there, but they were good, and they're already familiar with the characters. Gonna happen? Probably not, but I can dream.

Anyone else think that Adam Baldwin would make an amazing Shepard? i would argue that he would be perfect because he is A: completely awesome and versatile actor B: I'd say he looks the part and C: he already has a really great on screen relationship with Miranda's actress.

A lot of the guys being listed are too old, Shepard was 32 during the time of ME1. Gerard Butler would work since he still looks ten years younger, Sam Worthington could work also. Others that come to mind are Jackman and Bale but they've been publicized so much all I'd see is Batman and Wolverine. Basically someone that could both kick ass as well as be a guy that can be funny and bad and good (think Bruce Willis except he's just too old to be a passable Shepard at this point).



A lot of the VAs from ME2 would fit the bill perfectly as well as a few from ME1. Keith David is good for for Anderson and Seth Green is a definite for Joker. Yvonne Strahovski is PERFECT for Miranda, the based the character off her looks and her Australian accent is an identical match to what Miranda sounds like in game and she's no stranger to action scenes either sooo? Moving on, Baldwin would be good for Reagar and Sheen is still passable as TIM - though if he lost a few pounds that would make it more believable.



Other ones I'm not too sure on are Ash, Kaidan, and Jacob. If Jammie Fox was younger I'd say he'd fit the bill but now that he's 43...? I'd say Will Smith but he's only a year younger soo LOL. Liz Sroka might work for Tali but since our favorite Quarian is so damn popular I'm not sure if her actual acting is up to snuff since the only thing I know her from is ME. The others (Garrus, Wrex, and Liara) will have plenty of makeup so there's less to worry about facial identities than there is voice and acting.



All I can think of right now.

Vanderloo is eh, somewhere between 40 and 50 years old. Not to mention Dutch. It'd take a while for him to speak English and lose the accent. Vanderloo, out of the picture.



They're going to need a pretty great actor for the part of Shepard if they wanna attract more than loyal fans. Gerard Butler or Matthew Fox would be good choices.

Butler as VanderShep? I'd ****ing applaud. He'd have to be Renegade a fair bit, mind. No point putting a large Glaswegian man in a movie if he doesn't get to Right Button Interrupt regularly.

If you haven't seen the movie "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo", the Swedish version (ignore the coming hollywood version) then I HIGHLY recommend it. Fan-f*cking-tastic and the chick who plays Lisbeth, Noomi Rapace, is absolutely incredible. She could be Jack (wonder how she'd look with a shaved head?)

I'm not the greatest judge of actors to play which characters, but I think that Adrien Brody (don't kill me, he's been doing well lately) would actually make a good Kaidan Alenko. Keith David or Lawrence Fishburne for Captain Anderson. Karl Urban for Garrus Vakarian actually sounds pretty solid.

Anna Torv is my choice or Commander Shepard. She's a fantastic actress with amazing range, and her action scenes in Fringe are very well done - she really seems to go all out in them and makes them believable. She's did awesome voice work in Heavenly Sword as well.
