But on topic: Shepard is probably the hardest to cast. I agree with Matthew Fox though. He does need a stronger voice btw, he does sound like a sissy most of the time in Lost.

Zaeed needs a cockney accent. Personally I'd see someone like Michael Caine or Terence Stamp if they were 10 or so years younger. Alan Ford (Bricktop from the Snatch movie though I would love to see in a role like Zaeed)

For characters like Tali,Legion,Mordin,Wrex,etc why would they use any other person than Voice actor?I guess if they get a big really name actor they would but why pay somebody millions of dollars to play where they won't see their face and if they can't see their face who is better for the part than person who has the voice in the game?

My thoughts exactly goo sir, hoever i have a better idea, why dont we just get like UBER amazing CGI so then everyone looks like, erm, well . . . how there meant to and no one can **** sayong oh so and so doesnt look like how there meant to, and we get the original VA's and we got a film right there. But theres only one problem, every, i repeat EVERY video to film has to date sucked more that a hooker in amsterdam, and i dont know how i feel about ME bbeing made into a film, i meant yeah it COULD be amazing, but i would sincerly hate for the ME universe to be screwed over and look bad if it went wrong though.

Agreed.    Michael Beattie did a awesome VA job with Mordin.  Mordin would be CGI.  Theres no reason to change perfection for a bigger name actor that would never get *face* time.

As much as I hate the reuse of popular actors, I'd say a bald Kira Knightley would make a good Jack. Assuming her American accent is actually convincing these days.

besidesw for the love of god anyone lknows that the only way to make a GOOD ME movie is to have "BLUR" make it in CG and use voice actors.....PERIOD

Kiera wasnt to bad in Domino, IMO.  She can certainly pull of the attitude.  I think I'd cry though seeing Keira bald though.

How about hollywood makes something original instead of ripping off yet another game/movie... The Cowboy Bebop movie is gonna be bad enough, I don't need yet another liked franchise to go down the toilet.

 I would love to see movie for Mass effect looks like Final Fantasy advent children that would be easy choice but that would limit the Mass effect Uni to fan boys.I believe that Mass effect uni could be up there with Star wars,Star trek,Babylon 5,Battle Star gattlactica,Firefly,etc.To me subject matter and story is that good.

If somebody can name video game made into movie that has deeper story than Mass effect,then your guys point will be valid about all video game movies sucking.What is the story of Double dragon,Street Fighter,Resident Evil,Mortal Kombat,etc either they have very little story or bad story.Mass effect has 2 novels and two well written games to work it.Writers won't have to patch a story together like they would with max payne or bloodrayne.Video games movie have suck because their subject matter was not deep enough.

Mass effect has strong story which is the first step,Once the writer respect the subject matter he is writting and does not feel the need try reinvent the wheel then Mass effect movie would be good.Mass effect 1 has great start saren betraing the council and Shepard become a Spectre and great ending Shepard dying in space the beginning of Mass effect 2.Great moments with him have to choose whether kill wrex,Save Kaidan or Ashley and possible love triangle between him Ashley and Liara/Tali.

The only way i see it failing is if they have Uwe Boll directing or  does not get a big enough big bugdet for the special effects because a straight up retelling of the story in the game would make an ok movie.

Natalie Portman has done the bald thing before too.   Not sure how I'd take her as Jack...
