Alright, I've noticed how everybody seems to dislike the new "Heat Sink" system, and how it's been a big step backwards in the ME universe. Generally, I'm of the same opinion, however, I've reconciled with the fact that it seems unlikely that Bioware can change it at this point (unless they can offer quite a good explanation for flip-flopping with technology so much).
This is where my idea comes in.

Basically, it would work similar to how modern magazines work, but instead of bullets, it would feed heat sinks into the weapon. After exhausting your current heat sink, the weapon would automatically eject that spent heat sink, then feed the new heat sink into the weapon. This would present a rather seemless firing experience, much like the system used in the last game. The only break in firing would be when you need to replace the magazine.
Also, these would be very economical to carry around; instead of carrying individual heat sinks, you would carry magazines of 10 or so, and these would be carried much like magazines these days.
The only downside to this would be a balance issue for the gameplay designers to fix, but other than that, it's a step forward in terms of technology.
I seem to have a cruddy way of explaining things, but I think you can get the basic idea from that post, at least. Any comments, criticism,
praise would be welcome.
