Some things are going to work better than others. Complaining that someone is posting fixes that have worked for him is kind of dense in itself. People want to get what they pay for and if someone on here can make that happen faster, all the sweeter. If what's suggested doesn't work for you, think of something else. If that works for you, by all means, post it.

I am not complaining that people are posting theyr "fairytale" fixes.. I am simply pointing out that theyr fixes are unrelated to the actual problem.
And as long as devs see these so called "fixes" the issues suddenly isnt a big deal.. the only fix I've seen that would even work in theory is getting a earlier savegame.. as the problem MIGHT be connect to the savegame.

But awareness is painfully different from visible action. I agree with the OP, Bioware really needs to step it up and start patching up the bugs.

Would just like to say thanks dude, this helped with the crashes quite a bit. It still crashes now and then, but no where near as often as it was for me before. The Cleansing Aura spell seems to make the game crash for me, maybe it's something to do with the particle effect, I think I already read about that spell on here. Sometimes it works but sometimes it crashes when using it.Surango wrote...
20thcenturyghost brought up an
interesting point in a different thread. This game was originally
deigned on DirectX 9. Yet Win7 and Vista run on DX10/11 have you tried
installing the end user runtimes? www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx
Instructions:
Make a folder and call it DX on your desktop.
Download the
file,
when you run it, it asks for a destination path to extract the
files.
Use the folder you just made.
Go into the DX folder and find
the
setup utility and follow its instructions from there.
It doesn't
say you have to restart afterward, but it's probably a good idea to do
so either way. When you're done, you may delete the DX folder.
if
you need to find out what version of DirextX is on your computer, go to
Help and Support from your star menu and type in directx and you'll see
a link that says. "What version of DirectX is on your computer?" Let
this run a diagnostic and you'll know for sure. If you let it connect to
the internet, it says it will also check your drivers.

Gonna have to wait for a patch or bug fix I think as before patch 1.03 I could play the Dragon Age as long as I wanted without ever crashing

Suron, here's the post by Victor Wachter in the thread Surango linked, in case you missed it:Victor Wachter wrote...
Just want to let you guys know that we are going through this thread and others like to compile your feedback and make sure these sorts of things are entered into our bug database. Thanks a lot and keep it up!
Re the EA tech support: I wouldn't put any stock in what they say as far as the game being compatible with Windows 7. Good gods, even suggesting that you 'remove Win7 from your PC' would be laughable if it wasn't such a pathetic thing for a tech support person to suggest. Those guys are just 'drones' that have a script to follow for trouble shooting and likely know nothing about PCs other than how to turn one on and off. I seriously don't know why tech support for most companies don't automatically bump the user to the next level when they figure out you actually know what you're talking about and have tried all their stock 'solutions'. Ah, I'm ranting. Sorry.
Anyway, the devs are aware of the issues and are collecting info. I don't know if you'll get a direct response from them or not, but they're aware.
You mean what Victor worth in the awakening thread? because that's the only thing they care about.
They pushed a broken patch just so they can release their broken expansion.
Ain't going to update my game, and ain't going to buy any silly expansion.
Bioware isn't worth it any more really.
