I will not buy this for they are not great looking besides Garrus....

Also a pack this small in my opinion should just be free for Cerberus people atleast.

Yes I will be buying it. In fact I have already topped up my bioware account with points for this and future paid DLC.

I have no issue with spending a couple of bucks(£1.50) on a few outfits. I spend more on a latte each day!

If each set has alternate clothing for just 3 companions that’s going to cost you $8 for all 4 sets for all 12 of them. Now we have 13 in total so I expect another 5th set For Kasumi and probably two for Shepard. Unless Kasumi already will have a third one included in her download. Possibly paying $10 for one extra set of alternate cloths (that probably don’t have an option to get rid of the sunglasses) isn’t a good marketing deal. What if the developers decide to do a second set later in the year? That’s now $20 spent on alternate cloths. Is this still sounding like a good deal?

I agree with the rest of your post (hence the snipping). Nickle and diming people is a pretty 'good' strategy they use on stuff like this. However, on me, it won't work for me for one reason: Thane, Jack, and Garrus are about the only people I use. It's the only pack I'll buy, if I buy it at all. And that will only happen if someone can mod off the glasses.

Occasionally I'll take Legion or Tali (I like them just fine, but yeah), but the vast majority of the time it's Thane and either Jack or Garrus. I don't care so much about who's best at what, but who I like character wise. Thane is my Shep's LI, hence hes' always around. I've always done Bioware games this way: keeping my LI in the party. And the second slot rotates out depending on mood. So even if Miri and Jacob and the rest get outfits, I wouldn't bother.

-So your lucky then that they chose the three companions you like the best. What if it was Thane, Miranda and Moridin this pack and next one was Garrus, Samara and Jacob and the one after that Tali, Jack, and Grunt then Legion, Zaeed and Morinth? Still worth buying at $2 a pack?

since i have the ms points im guessing ill buy. A shirt or a outfit for your avatar cost more than this package.
wat do you guys think?:alien:

Probably. It's not like I'm doing anything else with my masses of gamer-points.

Edit: Oh wait, it costs MS points? No, in that case, I won't get it.

I like all three new looks, but I've never bought DLC that only provides aesthetic changes before, not even for my avatar.

I like when new outfits are a reward for achievements (like the loyalty missions), or a part of a package, but on their own it feels like money-grubbing.

New gameplay content I absolutely plan to purchase, but just new outfits by themselves? Unlikely.

2 dollars for 3 costumes I and anyone can easily replicate or improve with mods. How stupid does EA think I am?

Very.

Seriously though, I will not be getting the Appearance Pack.

This is just a waste of money.

Really, it is now? Because $2.00 is just such a massive ammount of money. There are just so many things that you  can buy for $2.00. It's not like $2.00 can buy you little more than a small ammount of food or anything. <_<

This is why DLC is a viable business model. People say 'it's only 2 dollars' without giving any thought to whether or not it's *worth* 2 dollars.
I don't think it's worth 2 dollars.  I certainly don't think it's worth the 5 dollars I'd have to pay to get it.

I don't really care about the appearance change, but maybe paying for it will encourage them to make other, better DLC.

No, it will encourage them to make more DLC like this because people buy it.

I just read the information. I won't buy it. I would buy it if I could change My hair and my on ship outfits. The crew looks fine just the way they are, at least for my games.

I'll probably buy it just because it's new ME2 content. It'll be great to finally get rid of Garrus' wrecked armour, and if we have the option not to give Jack and Thane the shades (which I have a bad feeling will not be possible), I'll also use them.

Even tough Jack´s new outfit looks great (ok besides the stupid "sunglasses"-thing) and Garrus finally fixed his armor / got a new one i won´t buy it. Seriously we got (or will get) better stuff from the cerberus network then that and every MS/BW-Point is too much for that content.

Honestly they probably should have done something like donate half the fee you are paying to a charity. I bet in the end they would sell way more copies of this pack and make more money in the end, plus money would be going to a fundraiser or world support group that could use it to help others in need.

Probably, I reckon at this stage I'll buy anything with "Mass Effect" written on it.

Nope. I don't think I'm even going to buy this one (I think I said that? Did I not? I should've if I didn't.), as I hate the CSI glasses. There's already plenty of CSI ME parodies if I want that fix. :P If I bought any at all, it would only be Thane's, regardless of where it was paired. I don't really intend to buy any, but if I did, happily it fell where I'd never have to get another to outfit my three most used/favored characters. I don't think it should be charged for at all, so you know. We are on the same page on that.

I just found it funny/ironic that it happened to be the three I like, so even if I do pay for it, it's the only one I'd ever need to. Still probably won't until/if the glasses end up toggle-able.

well, it fixes hole. but Garrus has still terrible scar. I think that 22rd century alien technology can easily fix this kind of scar. so Bioware? can you do that. it is just graphic.

yes if only to fix the hole in garrus armor (worth it to me) the other outfits look cool and all but what's with BW covering characters faces, granted it's only glass but what's up wit that?

I'll buy an appearence pack with Tali in it if and only if they put sunglasses on top of her mask and change nothing else.  That would be some grade-A trolling from Bioware.

I might, at a later point, if future costumes are reasonably well done, just so I can be a completionist.

Until then, I think I'll hold off on my Thane looking like David Caruso.

No, and here's why. If I buy this one, I'll buy them all. And that'll probably end up being about $10. It's not that I can't afford $10, it's that I refuse to spend that much on something so trivial such as getting Garrus to fix his goddamn armor or yelling at Jack to put on more clothes for god's sake what is even the point of those strings?

No. I'm not very big on this dlc business - let alone paying for virtual clothes. The only dlc that might make me falter would be one that allows Shepard to level up above 30.
