How can I run ME 1 in Window 7?

I want to play ME1 before start playing ME2.
After I instored the game, it stop running in the configration utility window!?
Can anyone help me please?Image IPB

You should post system specs.



Without those, the things that come to my mind are:

-Have you installed ME1's 1.02 patch?

-Have you tried running it in XP compatibility and/or admin access modes?

You need to patch it. Was having the exact same problem, and this wrapped it up nicely for me. Hope this helps. :)

You haven't made a proper problem report so far.  It's been described for you already. 

Meanwhile, the best archives of fixes are on the Legacy forums, and although they are technically "closed" for either replies or new posts, there were pinned threads about Windows Vista vs. ME1 to refer to, and all Windows 7 amounts to is "Vista Plus".

PLaying ME1 on Windows 7 HP 64bit with no problems.Have done nothing out of the ordinary. Installed, patched, played

There still is nothing in this thread to use for diagnostics, but I did visit the old forums, and I had forgotten how ridiculously awful thay look with a CRT display instead of an LED panel.  Almost as unreadable as the various terrible Neverwinter forums' nasty color schemes have always been. 

I didn't see any stickied threads about Vista, after all, and I don't want to strain my eyes on any of those stupid colors any more than I absolutely have to.
