Awakening is a huge step down compaired to the original.

Capital city looks more like a small village, design looks very cheap and lazy. There isn't anyone you could even talk to, including vendors, just click for trade.
The story could have been a lot better and deeper, most part of it seems to be missing and absence of dialogs makes it even worse.
Taking the overall quality into consideration, i say this expansion isn't worth more than 15$, like some big DLC. Never tough Bioware could screw up this much =[.

They were too lazy to make another Romance option hell if there was can imagine it, clicking on the moon to start a convo or a boat? It's stupid.
The shops were cheaply done and all the new armor was not all that, 'pretty.'

DLC not being transfered doesn't need a fix, since it's not a bug. They stated this long before Awakening was ever released.

And a very expensive expansion pack I might add. For $40 I want to be able to use the 2 spells I got with Soldier's Peak, that's not asking a lot. I am disappointed in this expansion also--I can't believe I have to start all over with Oghren again! They could have given him a bump at least. I think they spent more time in getting the weather to work than in character dialogue, come on, no romance? This isn't Mass Effect 2, we had Zev and Leliana in Origins to cover all bases, I can't see why they couldn't toss us a bone for such an expensive expansion, instead we get rain.Bryy_Miller wrote...
Here's the reason why it's a huge step down from the original: it's not a full game, it is an expansion pack. Common sense, people.

It seems a very small group if you can call it a group are defending this game's Holy Virtue in each and every threat, it's the same people. With the outrage as is, it's not going away till Bioware fixes the many problems and does right by their customers
And it's the same people whining like children in every thread as well. You've actually yet to address a problem that needs to be fixed, since the only issue you've posted in this thread isn't actually a bug. A little bit of reading prior to the expansion's release could have saved you the disappointment, and possibly the money if such a little thing meant that much to you.

Never mind the games bugginess.
Bioware, if this is what you have to do to release a game on time, just do us all a favor and be late.

Why was there a need to remove companion dialogs that we had in DA:O original? It looks cheap and unfinished. Characters don't seem to be polished enough.

I know some games which've expansions and seriously they even did the effort to carry on the romance so no you're wrong! Bioware & EA = moneyHere's the reason why it's a huge step down from the original: it's not a

I've only been on these boards since November, but in that time I've seen DAO, ME2 and now DAO:A all decried as the worst video games ever made in the entire history of video games, complete wastes of money, proof positive that Bioware has sold out, and declarations that not only will people not buy anything from Bioware again, but they will disown and outcaste any members of their families who so much as look at a Bioware game in a shop.
And in a month, everyone will have forgotten about it and instead will be talking about how Bioware's next game will be the Antichrist of gaming.

... how does the non-inclusion of a feature make it not an expansion pack?

He's not wrong. Bioware changed from no DLC gear to okay you can have your DLC gear.
One day EA and Activision are going to realize that all posters like Pious_Augusutus want are transaction stores where they can buy whatever rediculous gear and items they want. And while the irony will be they still ****** and moan about having to pay for gear it's clear that designing game content is not as important as designing the next pretty set of items or being able to have a pretend romance with some pixalated version of a person.

1. Ai brings alot too the table in this game lets not forget that from player on player to the convo
in the game is out standing but as to say pretty set of items or being able to have a pretend romance with some
pixalated version of a person. thats what it was the more they can make it real to the person the better it is
and Bioware knows this and they got away from some content and if they wish can fix it later if need be
as far as the game nothing set in stone it can change fast maybe everyone will get what they want if they
make clear to BioWares its like the saying goes can read minds i hope this game move on cause its is a great game i love it now the expansion wasnt as great as it could have been but it was neverless a expansion
you can alway go back and forth in the game thats what great about it so lets see what they can do with it

Wraps up the DA:O character decently enough tho.
