As do I - same deal as MattMock - still getting this issue after applying the 1.04 patch and continuing my Awakenings game.

lol, sorry I shouldn't laugh. I've seen that before in the toolset in past with certain incorrect textures or something along those lines. Not a good look one ones character.

Ran into this issue just recently. Don't know if my resolution will help because not sure if it is the same situation but it might give everyone some ideas.
I had been playing around with Morrigan and making my own face for her, but when I got rid of her default tattoo in the toolset this "Legacy Tattoo" thing showed up in game.
I did notice that when I was removing the tattoo in the toolset it did not have a way to replace the exact one, it wasn't one of the default choices for tattoos, but I was ok with that at the time because I didn't want a tattoo.
The way I fixed it for Morrigan was to grab one of the tattoo resources from the projects here and apply that to her, the writing was gone, and she looked even better.
