Most overrated video game ever.

Those people who defend it are saying "who cares about the game being so linear and having no towns, it's about the story and characters," Have those people played through the entire game? Because the story and character development are bad. Not to mention the ending. Played through 50 hours of that game just to see the lesbian lovers have a happy ending. Wasted so many hours on that garbage, when I could have just played ME2 or DA: Origins again.

Fallout 3. The combat is a farce.
Final Fantasy XIII is lying here somewhere. Maybe I should check it out to see what all the hate is about.

However I will simply say the FF series. Excluding a few, give or take. Same old boring rehashes of the original, over, and over, and over.

Oops, did I just spoil the ending to some of you guys who will eventually finish it? If so, sooo sorry. At least, I didn't spoil the bit where Sephiroth kills Lightning.
Well, if you end up hating the game, not only will you hate it but you'll hate yourself. I know I did. I see people b***hing about DAO: Awakening price, when I paid the Special Edition of FFXIII. I should have ordered the good version. I would rather pay $40 on Awakening, where I can play 15-20 hours on a game I like than pay for FFXIII and play 50+ hours of garbage.Fredvdp wrote...

~6 million people in the world play it, sure... but ~20 million people in the world have the clap, doesn't mean it's any good, it just means it's easy.

Try ~12 million.
And it's not >that< easy.

Personally i felt XII was far better than FXIII considering it actually has an open world to explore unlike the superlinear paths in FFXIII.

Biggest problem I have with World of Warcraft is that I liked to play other games. In World of Warcraft though I have to live up to other people's demands and play on other people's time.
That sounds more like a job than a leisure activity.

I've heard it's kind of like Vagrant Story, which is one of my all time favorite games.

World Of Warcraft simply demands too much out of the player. It is too time consuming and requires too much tedious grinding which becomes a chore very quickly.

1.It's Bioware, and Bioware has such talent that I would even check out a Hello Kitty game if they made one.
2.I heard that there is going to be a strong single player component and that the multi player stuff comes after you've extensively developed your character based on the typical Bioware style of plot progression that I'm used to and enjoy.

I have still to finish FFXII, but I have been going around other forums and people have not been saying too many kind words about FFXII. You know what, screw it, I'm going to finish the game, as most of those people who hated XII liked XIII and you know how I feel about the latter.SithLordExarKun wrote...

EDIT: Oh... how could I forget Halo ODST, a 60 dollars expansion pack, with maps from ANOTHER game, the game it self is a 4 hour campaign, and it hold 83 on MetaCritic. You could put a chicken in a box, label it HALO and it would sell like crazy and get 9+ reviews... and people complained about Awakening's price....

To be honest, the ones putting down FFXII are mostly weaboo's. The japanese population loved FFXII more so than FFX from what i read.Wrath of Bong wrote...

Though FFXII lacks a few things like romance and deeper character development, alot of other things make up for that like such a big and immersive world that you actually feel a part off. It has ALOT of the things that XIII lacked such as towns, NPC interaction , a likable cast(i liked every character in XII as they are better fleshed out while i hated almost everyone in XIII except Sazh) and best of all it doesn't have any melodramatic scenes.
To make things more interesting there are no restrictive classes in FFXII meaning that you can become anything you want, use any spell and weapon you want thanks to the license grid.
The only thing i dislike about XII is a lack of romance ,that the player character isn't really the main character and the gambit system which was complicated.
I'm just hoping Final Fantasy Versus XIII won't go down the same path as FFXIII.
