I know it's free, but... seriously? That's it? Unless missions 3 & 4 are about 30 minutes apiece, that hardly seems worth the download time.

Oh snap....

If I were to crap in a plastic bag and then give it to you, you'd be ok with that?

Because you know, afterall it's free.

Ok then don't download it...  Also your definitely right they shouldnt have even done it in the first place the bastards.

I do have a suspicion that you will anyways, so stop complaining.  Also its more like someone gives you a cookie, its ok i do like cookies, but its not going to change my life in any way except for that minute when i eat it ill be midly satisfied so in the end its worth it.

finally:  this DLC in no way affects you in a negative light in fact it only adds some more content to the game which is a good thing (unlike a bag of crap).  So just because you expected more from the DLC doesn't give you any reason to be angry.  Its like you get 10 dollars given to you even though you were expecting 100 dollars.  You're still getting free money and even though you may be dissappointed you shouldn't be actually upset and definitely not angry.

You idiot, Bioware is just going to end up charging for mission packs for the Hammerhead, missions that should have been in-game in the first place. You're too blind to see you're being ripped off.

I'm really curious to see how long it will take for Don or Stan to show up and tell us they merely placed the base for the Hammerhead in-game, and planned to release it as DLC from the very start, when it was touted from the very beginning as a Mako replacement.

If they charge for something like the Alt. Appearance pack, you can bet your ass they will charge for even the smallest weapon from now on.

Or you must be offended very quickly.

Basicly you are saying you are a BioWare fanboy?

If you're going to bother claiming someone offended you, at least bother looking at the poster. I was the one who called Gordon an idiot, not jynthor.

And I hate the Pitt, because it ruined Fallout 3 for me. The entire feel and atmosphere of that DLC completely trumped the Capital Wasteland and made me wish that Fallout 3 was all Pittsburgh.

You mean the DLC that totally brought shame to Fallout's story?

I thought they already did that with, ya know, FO3 :o

Wait did you just say you hate The Pitt because it was good....:blink: thats new.  I agree that the Pitt was atmospherically awesome but it didn't ruin the game for me.

No I loved the Pitt, but that was the thing: The Pitt was so good, so atmospheric, that I wished ALL of Fallout 3 was like that. And it ain't : (

Also people regardless of what EA does to get its profit those profits (contrary to popular belief) get revinested in the company to generate more profit in the future.

In theory this could be an arrangement BOTH sides profit from: the company earns money (and "reinvests" (a part of it at least)), the players get more SUBSTANTIAL and QUALITY content.

But where are the signs for SUBSTANTIAL and QUALITY content? Nowhere visible.

Already published (and free) are armors done the cheap way, so you can't remove the helmet - useless for most of "us". Some heavy weapons - okay, but nothing substantial.

Firewalker-pack: probably nice to have but nothing substantial neither.

Coming soon: Kasumi - I'd say "she" seems incomplete whithout her own recruitment-mission and dialog-options. But perhaps her loyalty-mission compensates for the missing recruitment by being longish. We'll have to wait and see. Anyhow, the price probably will be comparatively (very) high at >> 5,- $ (€) for ~ 1h gameplay.

Future DLC - ???? More episodic content, when most of ME2 already is of a (somewhat tiring) episodic format ... ? Expensive?

----

Waiting for some really SUBSTANTIAL and QUALITY content at an acceptable price (unlike DA - Awakening) ...  But I guess, I won't get any.

So to me it seems, any "discriminating" gamer would be better off if BioWare concentrated on the development of the next complete game instead of trying to make money the easy way ...

This is my worst nightmare for this pack... as it was free I thought I had reasonable expectations for it... such as that the 5 missions were on 5 tiny-small explorable open-world barren me1-style locations so that after you've finished it in 20 minutes flat you don't have to start a whole new game before you can use the Hammerhead again and adding a tiny bit of replay value to the post game. But this is ridiculous.

Just imagine if the snowy location was like Antibaar with auto-spawning geth and thresher-maws, with some prothean data disks collectables thrown in and you could revisit it whenever you wanted to take the Hammerhead for a spin. But alas, 15-20 mins of linear-path driven mini-games. What a stupid design decision.

Dethateer I usally agree with you on most things but this I dont at all, as they have stated in interviews that they will be releasing Paid for and free DLC for 2 years to come their will be more Free DLC so far this is the first Paid for DLC(think it comes out before the new girl anyway) so don't flip out yet, I still have faith that they will hold true to their word will it be one free for every 5 paid for maybe but their will be more free dlc or they would lose sales on CN cards

Eh, best argument against exclusively payed DLC I've read so far. But still, I doubt it will happen, since Bioware is now in EA's claws.

Exactly, All that they seem to be doing with the Hammerhead DLC, is laying the foundation for future DLC to call upon.

After this, they don't have to worry about having to include the Hammerhead model and physics engine in every future DLC that uses it, they only have to supply the missions, but they have to include a few crappy missions with it to begin with so that it looks like they've given us something worth having.

Any future Hammerhead missions with a bit of meat to them will come at a cost.

Also, just to clarify, yes I will download it, have I ever said I wouldn't?

I'll download it purely because it is free and should have been in the game to begin with. ( As you can tell thanks to the references to it onboard the Normandy .)

Had I been asked to pay for it though, now that's a different story. As it stands now, no I would not pay for it, it's just a patch for future paid for DLC.

Don't be a dick man, all of the Fallout 3 dlc's offered incredible value for money - no two ways about it. They put their heart and soul into those packs and it shows. By comparison they make everybody else including BioWare look cheap and disingenuous.

By my count only 'Anchorage' took me less than 4 hours+ run time that Pitt through Mothership offered and 'Lookout' took me practically all day so that more than compensates for the first one which was brilliant anyway and i didn't even get round to any of the collectables or half of the side-quests most of the time.

Bethesda killed it. Plain and simple.

Please... don't act like you're not disappointed.

Also, just because something is free doesn't mean it's above criticism. If someone were to promise you an awesome new car at no cost and then when they delivered it was a rusted old clunker with 4 flat tires and a smashed out windshield, you probably wouldn't be too happy about it. BioWare got our hopes up with promises of an incredible vehicle pack and apparently all we get is 3 minutes of node harvesting. Free or not, that's pretty lame.

ok but name one free dlc so far wich no one has not complaind about. no matter w/e is free people are gona **** and honestly they way i see it if those people who complain think they can do a better job than  go apply for a job at bioware otherwise shut up and and except it for what it is.
