See the topic title for the vibe I get and also hope to see in this game.
I really liked the strategy options in Guild Wars, I've played all editions and on a pretty high level.
I think it owns wow pretty much by the ammounts of strategy and diversity of attacks/spells/builds, but let's not go to that discussion which is hold to many times =P
The WItcher really made one person rpg perfect, even without the help of any party members I never got the feeling I was alone. Both games had just amazing atmosphere's and interesting story's.
I hope to see some kind of fusion between those two, what's your opinion?

Well, I'm a huge guildwars fan and player (can't wait for GW2). And yes, the strategy seems to be similar. I haven't played the Witcher, so I don't know if it will be a fusion of the two. But it seems that DA:O is going to be it's own game.

Never played Guild Wars, but I believe the story will be somewhat like the Witcher in that there's a lot of morally grey decisions, and it's on the mature side of things.

Well, the battle style is pretty close in the ability usage aspect with timers and such (and lack of jumping). It's been compared to the witcher in moral duality. And there are dragons.
And GW2 uses an eerily similar logo as dragon age<_<

Yeah you guys are right. I'm not saying it will be exactly a mix or anything, just that those certain elements also occur in this game, combined =) And those things, battling system, moral choices ect are exactly the things that made those games so great imo. So I can only conclude that DA:O will be one of the greatest and most complete things ever happened the RPG world.

Seems more like Dark Age Of Camelot. Atleast I get that kind of vibe from the gameplay videos and lore.

Guild wars is so horrible for anyone who anyone who doesn't buy all the expansions.
I think I stopped playing after they brought out the 3rd or 4th one while i still had my original only. Ive never played witcher so cant talk about that. *Cheapest expansion ive ever seen was probably the second one where they just made doubles of spells that were already there*
I kinda hope dragon age is nothing like Guild Wars.

The idea behind that was instead of a subscription fee like traditional MMOs they would release new expansions every six months. They discontinued this when they decided to make GW2. The copying of spells was a balance thing. Factions only players would be at a serious disadvantage without the copied skills. I had no issue forking out $50 every six months for new stuff, but hey that's just me. Can't wait for DA:O and GW2!Arttis wrote...

Haha, I've played all 3 (or will be playing all 3 once DA:O comes out). I agree DA:O gives me the feeling that there is a relation between all 3 of the games. Guess its because of the past/fantasy world all 3 will sorta be derived from?

Well...GW 2 the main antagonists are supposedly magically powerful Dragons. In Dragon Age, Dragons are big, and decently smart, but I thought they were basically still just smart animals.Herr Uhl wrote...

Bah, DA: O looks epic, GW2 looks epic.

GW was pretty awsome, i still remembered how i solo'd the dragon Grenth.
I'm also really looking forward to GW:2 but that might take a while, more dragons in that one.
Both have to be epic indeed ^^
