A hot asian chick and she's not a love interest? My faith is faltering bioware...
She's supposed to be Japanese isn't she?
Exactly. A friend named their daughter some Japanese name. Her daughter isn't Japanese.
The name is Japanese and she pronouces it with Japanese sounds.

- Using a hack, it is possible to make Kasumi selectable when
choosing squadmates before downloading her; however, she will only
appear in the last mission, and a "placeholder" model is used. Selecting
her at any other time will cause Shepard to only have one squadmate. - Kasumi is Japanese for "mist", perhaps to accent her career as a
thief. - Goto is a common Japanese surname, it means "behind wisteria."
It is also interesting to note, that the word "Goutou" which is
pronounced similarly, means "Robbery." Possibly alluding to the fact
that she is a thief.

Still when she says her own name it is clear, at least to me, that her pronouciation changes from English sounds to Japanese. Even speaking English there is a slight Japanese accent.

BTW. Am I the only one who thinks the music in the trailer (Kasumis theme?) sounds a lot like the music in old classic Deus Ex?

I...just want to know what part about this DLC is supposed to make FemShep fans happy.
the awesome dress they get. (hopefully)
sad face to the retexture of a casual outfit male shepards already have.
the locust looks rad though. i hope kasumi's cloak-hit will be as awesome as grunt shooting stuff in the face and then charging it or jacob/jack's pull/shotgun combos.

I like the design of the Locust SMG...but it sounds incredibly weak, like the weakest gun in the game. It definately goes pew pew pew instead of bang bang bang.

Does Shepard get to learn that back stab move? I'm an infiltrator so I already have the cloak. Plus, like the design of the Locust SMG BW. Tell all the complainers to fall off a cliff.
Unfortunately, no. Kasumi's Loyalty power is some sort of Flash Bang attack.

Old thread was locked so I guess I'll just point this out in this one too.
From the IGN article:
"Like Zaeed, another added character through downloadable content, you can't actually engage in full conversation with her, she just talks at you as you wander around her room."
Can't say I'm too happy this...
Personally, I thought Zaeed was one of the most fleshed out characters of all of the Squadmates, despite my Shepard not having a conversation wheel with him. He truly felt like a character with depth and history, and fit perfectly into the universe unlike, IMO, Jacob persay. Jacob had a dialogue wheel, but despite that, he never approached the level of interest I have with Zaeed.
So long as they give Kasumi a space on the Normandy that is equally personalized like Zaeed's, I won't mind this.
Guess Im one of the few who actually LIKES Zaeed lol. Recently bought a HDD for my xbawks so now I have access to all the DLC and I gotta say that Zaeed is by far my favorite character. So now, my squad is always static on my Soldier (or any weapon heavy class for that matter) of Miranda (specced for Cerberus Leader) and Zaeed. If I like Kasumi enough, I may even give up Miranda's slot (though it would take ALOT of liking for me to give up that +15% to weapon damage that she'd be taking with her lol)
But yes, I completely agree with the Mod here.

If that's so KSM is a must-buy for me regardless of the length as long as the price is right. *cough*400 ms points*cough*.

Lol, I'm the exact same, I'm addicted to that +15% to weapon damage, that's the only reason why I still carry her in my squad
