There's no way I'm gonna pay for a DLC that will only give me 1 hours worth of new gamplay, especially after shelling out $60 for the collector's edition. Give me an add-on and I'll pay for it (unless it's an overpriced piece of crap of course like I'm hearing everywhere about the Draon's Age add-on).

Are you people serious? I can't believe how many people whine over having to pay SEVEN DOLLARS for an add-on. Honestly, I used to be able to scrounge up 7 dollars a DAY to buy candy at the school store! And that's seven dollars in quarters, dimes, and nickles, mind you. Dig through your couch or under your mattress, cheap-skate. You'll find something. Or ask your parents for some of their pocket change. It's not that big of a deal.

Yarp and then you will have people saying it's only 60 bucks; "I can find that in the cushions of my parents couch or
I could just ask them for it"

Common sense, the rarest element in the world.

It's not $60 dollars, it's $7 dollars. Honestly, we've gotten lot's of free stuff already, including both Zaeed and the Firewalker pack, I don't think seven bucks is too much to ask for.

It is not about amount it is about value.
It is not about previous free crap, it is about this content.

I...just want to know what part about this DLC is supposed to make FemShep fans happy.

They don't care about FemShep fans. As for this DLC, I couldn't give less of a crap. I would've rather had a DLC where you get to find a cure for Thane and having to do something diabolical to get it. They can keep this bimbo. I'm not spending a dime on another scantily clad ****bag of a teammate that is clearly made to appease the boys.

Christina...if you're out there reading this, give us gals a break won't you? Give the other devs hell for us until they stop catering to every dude's wet dream while leaving us with crap for men (or awesome aliens who will be dead by the next installment). All Bioware seems to create for their female fans are wishy washy wienerless dorks who don't know what they want (Mr. Kaidan "are you sure we should screw since it's against regulation" Alenko and King "the only way I'll marry you is if you force me to" Alistair) or sleazy scumbags who make my skin crawl...like Jacob (sorry, his chest is awesome, but he gives me the creeps if you try anything other than a friendship with him).

Thane is the best male character in forever and he's freaking dying. Zevran, in DA:O was awesome, but he was a disloyal hornbag who ditched you first chance he got (the end dialogue of DA:O made that clear).Plus he was too short. Save Thane, the last decent guy we got (and he wasn't dying!) was Carth, and even he got on my nerves sometimes. I would've rather had Canderous (now *that* was a real man). As much as I like Garrus, I just can't see hooking up with him. He's more the brotherly type.

Kasumi is "scantily clad"? Last I checked she actually had a full hard suit on or was fully covered.

No, not scantily clad, but she's still a chick and she's not fugly or anything like Zaeed (who looks like someone ran over his face with a lawnmower). Everything just seems to be geared to make the boys happy. The girls are stuck with guys who are either pantywastes or have one foot in the grave. Besides, I couldn't give less of a crap about her. Another new character that you don't get to converse with or get to know. So it's nothing more than shooty shooty for an hour and staring at her icon on your ass. No thanks.

Well Zaeed was shot in the face by whats his name. Also I highly doubt any of the DLC companions is going to be romanceable. As for your Idea about Thane, that sounds liek something that would effect ME 3 so unless they are already writing for such a thing to happen I doubt you'll see DLC that do such things. I also doubt we'll get any more DLC companions. The Roster is getting pretty full as it is.

"Value"? Are you serious? I fail to see what is so unreasonable about the price for this add-on. Let's see we get;

- A unique and useful character as a new squadmate.
- A new SMG, squad power, upgrade, and casual outfit.
- An additional, unique loaylty misson with an hours worth of gameplay.

Doesn't seem too bad. I think my $7 dollars will be satisfied. No offense dude, but considering all the free stuff we've been downloading for ME2, I think you're being really cheap.

Again the point, Whooosh your head.

The content on CN is not free it costs $15, which is still not part of the equation when considering price on unrelated DLC.

Unfortunately correct.  Almost every game is marketed towards that all-$ demographic of male 18-24, or whatever the official age span is.

That is ... a drastic opinion to say the least.
Sadly enough i can totally see your point.
However the true horny nerds would be playing a femshep anyways, for the sole sake of being able to stare at a nice ass all the time. Its called the "Lara Syndrome".
Question is who do they romance?

@EvilChani
I can understand you complaining about the shortage of decent "men" in this game, however i dont really understand you complaining about Zaeed. I am not female, though if i would be i'd find that old scarred warhorse quite appealing. I mean hes supposedly in his 50 but still in great shape, and i bet hes got some stuff to "share" too if bioware would only let him do so.

Unfortunately incorrect.  I am a 19 year old male, and personally I find the trend of hot woman who expose skin in video games only to take extra bullets in the chest just silly.   I highly doubt with the track record of BioWare that they would intentionally go for the quick buck.  (Please, BioWare, say it is so)

Anyways, I am personally excited to add another member to the squad, even if it costs an extra 7 bucks for an hours worth of play.

Really, I don't remember paying $15 bucks for anything. I pre-ordered my copy of ME2. If you bought your copy used, that's your problem. Otherwise, the access card comes free with the game. They mentioned that before the game came out. With that in mind, I have to ask, what made you think that buying a used copy was a good idea?

Really, if you think it ain't worth your $7 dollars, just don't buy it. Image IPB Nobody is forcing you too. No need to come in here and complain. I don't think that price is at all unreasonable.

Now that I'm through laughing until I spew tea out of my nose thanks to the "sausage fest" comment....

*looks at boobs*  Nope, I'm neither a fat man nor a FBI agent.

Seriously, women make up half the population in the world and the gaming industry needs to remember that. A good portion of us grew up not playing with Barbie dolls (unless you count going to a friend's house and having GI Joe come in and kill the traitors, Barbie and Ken, and leave them in a pool filled with red Kool Aid to symbolize blood) but playing with toy guns and swords. We played cops and robbers, pretended we were Princess Leia (without the stupid hairstyle) or some much cooler original Star Wars character that ripped of Palpatine's head and shat down his throat so Vader could survive and we could have him to ourselves (okay, maybe that was just me). We sat in the back yard with green army men, digging trenches (much to our parents' dismay) and proceeded to play war. Now, despite the fact that we wanted to be total badasses, we still liked boys (though we just might have beat them up until 6th or 7th grade, but that was just because we liked them).

Now that we're all grown, provided we haven't lost our imaginations and the ability to take joy in "pretending" we're someone else for a few hours here and there, we are ripe targets for the gaming industry. Bioware has realized this, to an extent, but they still suffer from the delusion that all women want are metrosexual, mealy-mouthed, nancy boys who can't make a decision without you telling them what they should want (Kaidan and Alistair) or STD-carrying man****s who nail anything willing to lie still for five minutes (Zevran and Jacob, at least the latter seemed that way to me). They give us a couple of decent guys in Thane and Garrus, but one is more brotherly and the other one will soon be pushing up space worms. Why? If I had to bet they put Thane on his deathbed for the "dramatic" effect. Well, guess what? I freaking hate chick movies, especially ones where characters I like die at the end. This is fantasy...make it fun or violent. Screw the teary eyed drama crap.

That was my point before...Bioware is about the last hope for us females getting a decent shake in the gameworld (unless you're talking about the prissy girls who like playing Barbie games or some such crap). I get it that the horny 18 year olds need to have more ******. That doesn't rule out giving the girls something worth coming back for. They saw fit to expand their customer base by screwing over the RPG fans in order to kiss up to the shooter fans. Why not give the girls something even if it makes the 18 year olds whine a little? It's not like they'll stop buying the game, after all.

So I wasn't the only one to find it ridiculous that Miranda was running around in a lizard skin outfit that crawled up her butt instead of wearing some bloody armor? Maybe if she had been wearing armor, she wouldn't have been dying right and left! Or, perhaps, that had more to do with her standing up on crates and shooting the place up like some kind of Rambo-wannabe instead of getting into the cover I kept directing her to.

It costs 15 bucks. Open up XBL or the BW download page. It was only free for those with a new copy. My point being your statement about "free" things being part of the reason 7 bucks for Kasumi is reasonable, is not correct.
Also if I paid for or not is irrelevant, it is not universally free.

Take your own advice nobody is forcing you to read my comments. You are doing it of your own free will. I will vote with my wallet AND excerise my opinion on the forums.

LMAO! Wow you sure gave me a good laugh right there and I loved your posts.

I also hate Miranda's stupid default outfit and I hate it when they have that dumb shot of her butt at one point in the game where it looks like she has a giant wedgie. I got to agree also about her jumping onto crates she has basically the worst AI in the game.

With that being said I am still getting Kasumi. I am a female also but I think Kasumi looks really cool (I love that hood).

As far as love interests in the game well I hated the way you HAD to flirt with Jacob. I agree with you on Garrus' being more of a brother type character and Thane is just pure awesomeness. I hope he doesn't die =(.

I also hated Barbie's as a kid I threw them all out. Except I still have one left for sentimental reasons. I used to go to my neighbours with my best friend and take Shredder and stuff him down the little hole in the basement and we would check on him a few days later.

But yeah, as others have said you must realize the video game market is catered to the 18-35 year old male. They think that us "female gamers" like things like the Pink stand with Cooking Mama right in the middle of Gamestop and we don't play games like Mass Effect, God of War, Dragon Age Origins etc. But I do thank Bioware for including a female character option in the game.

On a side note my best friend who is a 23yrs old male always plays as a female character in games when he has the option to so he can look at her lovely butt >_<.

Don't why you would buy yours used, man. Doesn't sound like a good idea. I wouldn't buy it used unless I was still a Console Rat (no XBL), in which case I wouldn't be able to use Cerberus Network anyway. Oh well, your problem.

The ironic thing is, most of the people complaining about these prices DID get free access. We get all this free stuff, then the first batch of paid DLC rolls in and all the everyones like "OMG wies iT n0t FREE!?!" For those who got the CN passcards with their copies, that's pretty damn cheap.

There's another thread around here with people complaining over the two dollar price tag on the costume pack... Although, last I checked, they were arguing over impoverished children in Ghana, world economics, and ice cream sandwichs (don't ask).
