Don't why you would buy yours used, man. Doesn't sound like a good idea. I wouldn't buy it used unless I was still a Console Rat (no XBL), in which case I wouldn't be able to use Cerberus Network anyway. Oh well, your problem.

The ironic thing is, most of the people complaining about these prices DID get free access. We get all this free stuff, then the first batch of paid DLC rolls in and all the everyones like "OMG wies iT n0t FREE!?!" For those who got the CN passcards with their copies, that's pretty damn cheap.

There's another thread around here with people complaining over the two dollar price tag on the costume pack... Although, last I checked, they were arguing over impoverished children in Ghana, world economics, and ice cream sandwichs (don't ask).

Didn't say I bought it used, I said CN costs $15. Whether or not my copy is used is irrelevant. You keep bringing it up that assumption, it is rather funny.
It is not free to all and it has a value; $15.  http://social.bioware.com/page/me2-dlc
Saying that it is ok Kasumi cost $7 and to keep in mind all of the "free" stuff, is just a self imposed guilt trip. The "free" stuff prior should not be a factor in considering the price  of future content.

The problem with the pricing is because the amount of content does not seem to match the price that is set.

There is no free stuff. You have paid for it. It was part of the deal. The company advertised with it. Some of it was supposed to be included, but came too late. The other stuff is from EA's "Project Ten Dollar".

So I wasn't the only one to find it ridiculous that Miranda was running around in a lizard skin outfit that crawled up her butt instead of wearing some bloody armor? Maybe if she had been wearing armor, she wouldn't have been dying right and left! Or, perhaps, that had more to do with her standing up on crates and shooting the place up like some kind of Rambo-wannabe instead of getting into the cover I kept directing her to.

Kinda makes me think you missed the whole section of the forums that are yelling at Bioware for takign away there squad armor customization like you see in the First game. :D Anyway yeah I don;t mind Miranda walkign around the ship or ports in her "casual" outfit but damn woman put on a hardsuit in combat! You too Jack! Samara yeah you have soem nice cleavage but Zip up went in combat and in space damn you!

Also technically, you paid for youe CN card in the price of your new game. So it wasn't "free". They valued it at $15 so it's "worth" $15.

Conspiracy theories! How exciting...

I've been hearing it for the past three months. It's getting old. Believe me, I don't trust EA any more than you do. As long as they don't interfere with the good people at Bioware making top-quality games, I don't care. Maker help us if they ever let EA work on the games...

Haha I don't know how many times "Maker" was said in DA:O but that sure brings back memories.

Free DLC was like what Criterion gave in Burnout Paradise for around a year before releasing paid DLC.

While it can be said the CN isn't free its not like the game would have cost you $45USD the day it was released. So technically it wasn't free and more of an incentive to buy the game new.

"Value"? Are you serious? I fail to see what is so unreasonable about the price for this add-on. Let's see we get;

- A unique and useful character as a new squadmate.
- A new SMG, squad power, upgrade, and casual outfit.
- An additional, unique loaylty misson with an hours worth of gameplay.

Doesn't seem too bad. I think my $7 dollars will be satisfied. No offense dude, but considering all the free stuff we've been downloading for ME2, I think you're being really cheap.

7 dollars is way too much for 30 lines of dialogue, a new gun/squad power and an hour of gameplay, sorry.

When compared to an actual full game it's patheticly overpriced.  Let's put it this way, would you spend 7 bucks for a demo that was an hour long? No, I'm betting you wouldn't.

*edit* - Sorry, a demo has way more content than this DLC, bad comparison...

It has little to do with conspiracy theories. Hehe. :P

About the content being too late. It got that mixed up with DA:O... I did a little research on the reasons behind the day one DLCs for ME2 and the so called "free of charge content". I've started a thread about it, because it would derail the topic if I would post it here.

ME2, DLCs free of charge, and critique.

Wonderful. So we're starting an economic debate over video game add-on ranging in price from $2 dollars to $7 dollars. Yeah. Count me out. Have fun with your conspiracy theories. I'm going to bed.

I loooove ME2, but im not paying 7 Dollars to get an 90 minute extra playtime for an extra member.

Dont get me wrong i wanna play some dlc but it has to be worth the money, this is overpriced for 90 minutes.

Some extra fun missions i woudnt mind paying 15 dollars for.

this is overpriced for 90 minutes.

You can have Shepard stay still for an indefinite amount of time, and voilà! 5 hours DLC :D
I always do that. It gives more value to my money.

The other stuff is from EA's "Project Ten Dollar".

Damn EA and their freemason-ristic plots!

Aaa! A New Gaming Order!

So dishonest! No other company tries to suck all the money it can get from people!

Yeah man things were great before all this DLC, man. When ti was like...they released the game, and if you wanted more, you had to wait for the sequel! Forget that "expansion" crap too!

And for those rooting for me, that was sarcasm.

I enjoy DLC, it bring some refreshing quality to the game. Sure, it seems that all you get for $7 dollars is 90 minutes more on a...what is it now....40 hours? Anyways, you forget that it's also adding a new teammate, the first one to cloak I might add. We're also getting another casual gear and a new submachine gun.

From a Post ending perspective, not so great. New game perspective? More fun, especially if they put in more squadmate specific responses (Still love Zaeed saying Garrus was going to die)

If I have to pay for this DLC, I'll pass. Joining Cerberus Network, in theory, costs $15. As a "reward" for buying a new copy, I got a code to join for free. So, if I bought a used copy I'd have to pay to join the network to be able to pay for DLC?

After dropping $50 for the game I don't want to be nickel and dimed after the fact. Bad enough you did that with DAO, at its release no less.

Hmm. Considering the quality and quantity of DLC for the first mass effect (which was cheaper) didn't really seem like a good deal (and gave you an hour(ish) worth of gameplay per roll around), but I bought it anyway because I'm an achievement ****, I don't think I'll be stepping up to the plate to buy this Kasumi DLC for even more money.

but there are no girls on the internet, only fat men and FBI agents

97% of this forum is a sausege fest, and the straight male population far outweighs the homosexual and female population. The horny nerds demand another pair of ******, and ****** they shall have

Unfortunately correct.  Almost every game is marketed towards that all-$ demographic of male 18-24, or whatever the official age span is.

Now that I'm through laughing until I spew tea out of my nose thanks to the "sausage fest" comment....

*looks at boobs*  Nope, I'm neither a fat man nor a FBI agent.

Seriously, women make up half the population in the world and the gaming industry needs to remember that. A good portion of us grew up not playing with Barbie dolls (unless you count going to a friend's house and having GI Joe come in and kill the traitors, Barbie and Ken, and leave them in a pool filled with red Kool Aid to symbolize blood) but playing with toy guns and swords. We played cops and robbers, pretended we were Princess Leia (without the stupid hairstyle) or some much cooler original Star Wars character that ripped of Palpatine's head and shat down his throat so Vader could survive and we could have him to ourselves (okay, maybe that was just me). We sat in the back yard with green army men, digging trenches (much to our parents' dismay) and proceeded to play war. Now, despite the fact that we wanted to be total badasses, we still liked boys (though we just might have beat them up until 6th or 7th grade, but that was just because we liked them).

Now that we're all grown, provided we haven't lost our imaginations and the ability to take joy in "pretending" we're someone else for a few hours here and there, we are ripe targets for the gaming industry. Bioware has realized this, to an extent, but they still suffer from the delusion that all women want are metrosexual, mealy-mouthed, nancy boys who can't make a decision without you telling them what they should want (Kaidan and Alistair) or STD-carrying man****s who nail anything willing to lie still for five minutes (Zevran and Jacob, at least the latter seemed that way to me). They give us a couple of decent guys in Thane and Garrus, but one is more brotherly and the other one will soon be pushing up space worms. Why? If I had to bet they put Thane on his deathbed for the "dramatic" effect. Well, guess what? I freaking hate chick movies, especially ones where characters I like die at the end. This is fantasy...make it fun or violent. Screw the teary eyed drama crap.

That was my point before...Bioware is about the last hope for us females getting a decent shake in the gameworld (unless you're talking about the prissy girls who like playing Barbie games or some such crap). I get it that the horny 18 year olds need to have more ******. That doesn't rule out giving the girls something worth coming back for. They saw fit to expand their customer base by screwing over the RPG fans in order to kiss up to the shooter fans. Why not give the girls something even if it makes the 18 year olds whine a little? It's not like they'll stop buying the game, after all.

Women in the video game industry are still a demographic minority contrary to popular belief. All this crap you hear on the news about "more and more women playing video games" is bullshi.t. Video game developpers are perpretrating that through their social forums, just to attract horny male nerds. "LOL GUISE I HAVE SOCIAL LIFE, I TALK TO GIRLS ON THE INTERNET"

anyone with half a brain can see that women make up less than 10% of the video game community. There is simply not enough time to concentrate on a minority of fans.

Homosapien males have penises. We brag about useless crap over the internet because we enjoy it. Males often discuss their achievements in video games, play multiplayer, and bring their friends for competitive
sessions. In doing so, they unknowingly advertise their game and spread word of it around. They are more willing to pay for extra content and multiplayer crap.

Most girls don't play video because they biologically find no appeal in it. They would rather be busy with their "social lives". i.e shopping for clothes, watching men play sports, throwing layers of cosmetics on their faces, and going to parties because their vanity demands that they must receive compliments on their body every 5 seconds. You do see men do this, and they are called homosexuals. So called homosexuals are become increasingly rare.
Those who aren't busy pretending to have a social life or those who are hopelessly physically unattrative play video games. But they usually keep to themselves and play single player. For them, this is an escape from their real lives. Games are also an escape for males, but males are competitive and love multiplayer. Multiplayer can be over exploited to milk a man out of his money. Girls stick to a few games, and never discuss it with their female friends under fear of being mocked and rejected. Girls suck at multiplayer and aren't popular in multiplayer communities (except for the fat men and FBI agents that pretend to be women), however they do provide an incentive for males to play (lulz im hero protecting the internet girl)

Developping content that appeals to women is simply economically unprofitable for ANY game company. There are not enough of them, they keep to themselves and don't buy worthless addons, they find a lot of shooting and action combat unappealing, and they aren't willing to pay for multiplayer DLC.

Because of the lack of data on women and what they want in video games, Bioware simply does not know what you like. They probably could make some good stuff that appeals to you, if women would start voicing their opinions more. It also helps if a hot girl fan would make a video review (even if those are extremely rare), as that will bring much attention and provoke a nerd rush. Nerd rush numbers will help voice an opinion.

I'm really not sure if you could possably be more sexist if you tried, my god..I mean...just wow...

Maybe, now this is just a suggestion, you should stop playing video games as they have most obviously skewed your view of women so deeply that you've become a steroetype of male chauvinism, which is extremely ironic given the amount of stereotyping in your above post.

And here comes the utter BS.

Women DONT play videogames for the same reason that jocks also DONT play videogames (until Halo), its peer preasure of social normals that is only "biological" on the term that humans are a social animal.

Also I am a Sims player and in that community its common to acept the person behind the username to be female as they compose the majority of the community, also I knew several women that were active in Morrowind and Oblivion modding community (Fallout 3? not so much).

Of course you are just flame baiting and I am biting but hey ... who cares? when Bioware ADMITED they designed a character ONLY for the purpose of appealing to the female demographic ... they been doing that since BG2 (that also had several women involved in modding).
