Because its on the 360 and ps3 versions of the game and Sony and Microsoft have extremly strict limits on the size of patches.

Actualy Bioware handles the PC version. It is a different company that handles the console versions.

I had this problem to, way i fixed it was by downloading this mod

is worked fine for me and i could keep all the DLCs installed and also have Starfang in my inventory. To fix the problem of items from DLCs disappearing when importing a character use

http://www.dragonage...file.php?id=883

I have both of these installed and have had no problems so far, hope this helps

I am going to beat a broken drum. I am so @#$%^&*()_ disappointed in the bioware/EA that I can barely think on on it. Some modder working in his spare time has made fixes for this game that a game designers have been unwilling to fix.
I don't think it is a case of there were not able to fix it. I think they got our money, and when enough copies were sold they pretty much said !@#$%^&*()(*&^% to all their customers. I quit playing this when I ran into the runes problem. Went on three deployments - one was six month long and came back and still they didn't fix this.
I am running out of games to play and getting bored with civ 4-- and civ 5 has its own bugs.
I truly think EA is the root of this because I tell you.. every game (with few exceptions) they have touched has gone down the tubes in build quality or at least putting out a game that works with all its features. sad. bah.. prolly gonna get deleted.
