In fact I read your post and was planning on going there naked or badly geared but I didn't know where that mission started so I was just doing quests and bam, OH that mine...

So I kept your post in mind and hoped I would get my gear back, and I did in the end.

Sorry if you experienced a nasty bug. I did not. I do not have to lie about it. Like TJSolo said the fourth experimental subject was in the same area as the third. The fourth subject dropped all of my warden's items. All the other items were in the chest.

Helm of Honnleath and Key to the City trigger it too. My first attempt at the mines was fine (I had on Helm of Honnleath) but second time I went in (cause i had to finish something that I hadn't found earlier and reloaded from an earlier save) I got the bug and not ONLY lost what I had on my back (with no fourth NPC in the entire mines) but lost everything in my Inventory as well!

The chest near the NPC which I hoped would have at least secondary gear was also empty.

First this is not where bug reports or threads go. Last time I checked this is General Discussion. There is a technical forum for bug reports. Second, I am pointing out that not everyone has the problem. Part of isolating a problem is finding out why it occurs and on what equipment it occurs ,running on what OS. Is the problem isolated to one platform or across all platforms. I simply pointed out that I have some of the exact same items like TJSolo and had no problem.

Hey fellows is here anyone who can tell if it is possible to get the gear back when the bug happened. i mean is it possible to fill the empry chest or make the 4th experiment spawn?

 I guess they still don't know how to fix this. My fourth set didn't drop, or the event didn't spawn. Fortunately found a better set of rogue armor while going through the caverns, but lost my two best weapons (and best runes) and all of my secondary gear. After searching through the caverns for what seems like forever I can only assume that one of the events didn't spawn the correct set of gear. One of the enemies dropped a full set of generic Warden armor. 

I guess if it's not fixed by now, it's not going to be.. Shame.

Losing my main character's gear each time I've gone through Awakening is a huge disappointment.

There's a workaround for it posted on the forums already. I've only recently had problems with this (creature wearing my PC's gear didn't appear, and all my other inventory items weren't removed)



What you need to do is remove any character-specific items and weapons from your entire party. If your PC wakes up in the cell in commoner clothes then the fix worked. Some imported weapons also trigger the bug, so if there's still a problem try removing those too.

To all your problems. Instead of restarting try this instead..
Runscript zz_fab

I had added this fix sometime ago in another thread....please try it

 Just type in the above runscript and hit enter you will be transported to a warehouse full of equipment, runes, supplies, etc. Normal and magical weapons and armor are included in this warehouse.
Make sure you know how to enable the cheat mode for runscripts. Very simple to use.
please let me know if this is a better solution than restarting 3 hours before the bug.

It's more to do with Specialization and Companion's specific equipments. Example:-



If you're a Templar, don't put on the Templar specific armor when you enter

If you have Howe with you, don't equip Howe bow on him
