Alright I'm on the damned mission where you get Liara, and the fact that there's no frequent autosaves like ME2 is annoying, this is my 3rd ****ing time I had to restart it, 1st time because I got bum raped by those geth at the end and 2nd time for no ****ing reason because the Mako's cannon doesn't have blast radius like all the other "heavy" weapons in ME2, seriously I wish they just had the Hammerhead tank all along instead of this ****ty clunky Mako.
****ing Mako.

Go to driving school. Or drive drunk.

Driving the Mako is like driving a tank drunk, but how do you not die at the end with the geth collosus?

Take out all of the pawns. Then focus on the armature. If all else fails...improvise.

Also how do you melee? Pushing B just makes me put my guns away.

Alright, so kill all the enemies and then focus on that armature thing? But they keep flanking me, CQB in these games suck.

Alright **** you Bioware, apparently being in cover means you still die form a geth rocket.

Melee is intiated automaticly if you are too close to an opponent. (Same trigger or mouse button as shooting) Also, who do you have in your party? What class are you playing? Do you have any powers developed?
You can shut down the armature with sabotage (power from decryption skill). This overheats it's gun. If your powers are developed enough it can be lifted or placed in stasis. If you have Tali with a well developed hacking she can dominate the armature and have it attack its own side. You can take cover behind the crates.

Why is it I can't use the Assassin I heavy armor?

Posté 20 mars 2010 - 05:00
What class are you playing and have you leveled up your armor skill. Only soldiers get heavy armor and have to have 7 points in their armor skill, otherwise they're restricted to light or medium armor. Infiltrators and Vanguards can wear medium armor at 7 points in their armor skill, until then they're limited to light. Engineers, adepts and sentinels are restricted to light armor.

I'm a Soldier, ME3 better have frequent autosaves like ME2 and a Hammerhead tank instead of a piece of **** Mako.

Ok, so you'll be able to use the armor when you get 7 points in your armor skill. If you don't mind a little build advice. Get 7 or 8 points in armor to get heavy armor. Unlock fitness (needs 5 points in assault training.) Max it out, master immunity is pretty much an I win button. It gives an 80% increase to your damage reduction. Keep someone with biotics (Wrex, Kaiden or Liara) with you to give you some crowd control. Keep someone with 9 points in decryption and electronics (master sabotage and overload) to let you unlock crates.
It wouldn't hurt to check out this for build ideas. http://masseffect.wi...rd_class_Builds note that most of these are not first playthrough builds but are useful to give you an idea where you might want to go with a particular build.
I'd also recommend manually saving fairly often it will help save frustration and console abuse.

Na, you just can't run around without paying attention. Frankly, unless your on insanity the game is so easy.
The Mako is hard to master, but it can jump into the friggin air, which is usefull when geth fire rockets, or energy blasts from the armitures. Easy as pie.

If you tell me who you have with you, and how their skills are developed I might be able to give you some help. Also you can also try turning down the difficulty a notch, if you're not already on casual. If all else fails, load a save from before Therum and go run around and do some side quests before you try it. There are a couple of fairly rough fights there at low level.

I have Garrus and Ashley, but I mean right after the cutscene was done I got blown up, and yes I turned down the difficulty from normal to casual, I also learned you have to manually save for checkpoints, making autosave useless.

Yep, I know since it overwrites. Make sure you have the squad powers set to defensive. There is a set of crates in the middle of the field take cover behind them as soon as you can. If you have Garrus' decryption developed hit the armature with sabotage. That should shut down it's guns long enough for you to get to some cover. There are some crates in the middle of the field that will help here. Direct both your team mates to cover. Then wait until it fires its siege pulse into the crate. Use the power wheel to pause and aim at one of the sidekicks and have Garrus and Ash target it. Work your way through the small fry using this method. You can take your time once you've dealt with them, to work on the armature. Unless you're trying for the squad mate achievements I'd recomend swapping Ash for either Kaiden or Wrex since her skills are redundant for a soldier. Also don't forget your spectre skill, if you have 4 points there you can get your squadies back on their feet.
Also early on, until you can get him into some decent medium armor Garrus is kinda squishy. The only defense boost he has is through electronics (to increase shields). Kaiden has barrier and Tali has an extra bonus from Quarian machinist. If this is your first story line planet I'd really suggest doing some side quests to get to around level 15-20 first. This will give you more points to allocate and if you're willing to wait until 20 you can unlock your advance class by doing the Luna side quest. It will make a big difference in you survivability.

Only by changing armor. Just on a note the last fight on Therum can be pretty rough as well.

It is bad, although as a soldier and on less then hardcore/insanity it's not that bad as the only danger is a charging krogan.
Oh yes, the Mako does suck to drive. It's like drunk driving a shopping cart with a broken wheel through a moon bounce.
Also, the cart is possessed and starts moving on its own sometimes.

I didn't mind the Mako, I found it much better than a few of the similar type vehicles in Halo. Only thing I hated was some of the mountains with what seem to be 75 degree angles. Use the cannon whenever possible on heavily armored Geth or groups of them. If you want exp, weaken the Geth with the Mako (it also provides better armor than when outside it) and when the enemy's health is low, get out and fire away. What difficulty are you playing on? and what level is your Shepard/squad?

Personally, I miss the Mako... compared to the planet scanning game. What if BioWare would have just FIXED the clunkiness of the Mako, rather than scrap it?
