How is there no depth to your companions? Because they don't needlessly indulge you in every single trial and tribulation they went through in the past? Because they don't have romances with you, despite your relationship with them being mostly professional (which frankly would make this game require significantly more time to create, as romance accounts for a massive amount of Dragon Age's choice and consequence)? Because you can't interrogate them about their childhood fears?Karmianna wrote...
I would disagree because this game is not Dragon Age. There is no depth to any of your companions or your relationships with them. This would maybe be acceptable as DLC but my no means is this an expansion much less a new game. <10 hours game time if you play on hard settings. The interactions with com[anions have no meaning or value. Your moral choices are also meaningless.
The characters are just as deep as the ones in Origins when it comes to personality; only in backstory are they less fleshed out, and this is more in keeping with the setting and tone of the game, as well as the way people, you know, actually behave. Having companions react to the environment seems far more human to me than it does to have a conversation about your distant and painful history because the dude you're working for asked you to tell all. Most people aren't exposition bombs and it makes more sense to learn about characters through their idle chatter, mannerisms and subtle hints.
