Hehe, I've had a similar incident. In
my mod Dalish Pride
one of the npc's names is Velena, and in awakening there's a character
named Velanna.
I musn't be as crap at naming characters as I thought I
was [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png[/smilie]
That's
cool. I felt it too accually, that it wasn't only me who recognized
Sigrun as a good name to a female dwarf.

Somehow I think it is more
coincidence that Bioware decided to create a female rouge dwarf that has
the same name as your female rouge dwarf.
Sure it could be
considered name but theft but then they wouldnt have stolen the name
from you and diddnt you and half the people on these forums steal a name
from another source? It is quite logical that Bioware (and many other
players for that matter) would name a female dwarf Sigrun regardless of
what you called yours, as you said you yourself took the name Sigrun
from Norse mythology which is likely what Bioware did as well, I know
that I myself when naming a dwarf look to Norse mythology for a suitable
name as well.
If you look at dwarven culture you will see that a
lot of it is borrowed from Norse mythology, even the dwarves themself
are borrowed from Norse mythology so it is quite reasonable that many
dwarves will have Nordic names.
Yes, but it seems as I
was the first to create a Sigrun for Dragon Age! (On
a more frank note you seem to take me a bit too seriously.)

That's the problem with names taken from mythology or translated from items such as runes. There is always a chance someone else had the same idea and used it first. This happened to me as a child once or twice too, much to my chagrin. All I can say is, think of it this way: your Sigrun is much stronger and cooler than the BioWare NPC acting as her sidekick.
I like the way you think. And yes, she is much stronger. And I'll have Oghren and Sigrun executed for beeing an annoyance to the real Sigrun.
