I'm trying to complete quest where you find 5 sylvanwood pieces in the Wending Woods for the Templars.

So far I only found 4 pieces and can't find the last.

I beat the Lyrium Mine section ages ago and have wandered the entire Wending Woods map twice, with highlighters on, to no avail.

Is it hidden somewhere? Do I have to go backtracking all the way through the mine? Or is it a glitch? I already killed every freaky tree monster in the map...

all of them are in Wending Woods. you just have to look hard.

Could you be more specific please?

Like I said, I killed every tree person I could already, and got 4 pieces of wood from them.

I've reran the entire map twice looking for any more tree monsters or hidden caches using the highighter, but can't find a thing.

So is the last piece well hidden somewhere else aside from the corpse of a tree monster, or is it a bug?

my last ancient sylvan kill was at the bottom of Velannas camp.

I didn't think to make a note of where the first one dropped but I found 2 just south of the talking statues over on the East side of the map. There is one a little North of the Makeshift Lean-To and another due East of that. I hope one of these is the one you're missing.

I've had the exact same problem; there's NOTHING left to kill in the Wending Woods, but only 4 pieces dropped.

I thought I'd checked everywhere and I only had 4 pieces, but then I noticed there's a little sort of hidden path near the middle of the map. Facing the camp with your back to the silverite mine, look slightly off to the right of the main path - that's where the final one was for me

When you are passing the intersection between the mines and the fake camp, heading towards the other side of the map, you will be between some broken wall bits and the hillside. Hug the hillside on your left, and you'll find the last tree. The area overlooks where you fought the spiders, but is below the fake camp. (Sort of middle-ground.)
