They should already be dead after giving the tali fans their romance and leaving us Wrex fans out to rot

Wrex has one the best most heart-warming cameo's in the game his moment felt good and his decision is the decision that had a big impact(somewhat)

If he's not a companion in ME3 and Tali is, I will be royally pissed

That was more recent, however.

Compared to when people thought the other krogan in the Grunt reveal was Wrex(it was the Shaman).

that one was kind of believable though since all you seen was the hump which was red so me and the others thought it was mercenary armor

When TIM is looking at the dossiers on the big hologram, there's one of a familiar turian we know.

At that time, the devs were adamant about not telling us Garrus was in game.

It's funny how much speculation was going around, and how all the assumptions were swimming around. No one liked Grunt because he was krogan, no one liked Jack because she seemed out of place. Hell, some people didn't like any of the squadmates because they were all convinced every squadmate was a renegade psychopath. And now look where we're at. We've got favorites in the squad across the board.

About the Samara being Liara's father; why the hell do people have this strange belief that every character is connected somehow? Samara/Aria/BartenderChick were speculated as Liara's possible fathers, Grunt was speculated to be Wrex's son, and Jack was speculated to be the chick Kaidan used to hang with back in training. Are people really that unoriginal to think Bioware would create a bunch of characters in a game that somehow have to be related to other characters?

The only big connection between characters I can see happening is Aria being Aleena.

well the bartender could easily be Liara's father and Aria could easily be Aleena who know for sure but its fun to speculate the Samara thing didn't add up though

I always found that really funny about Liara. She clearly knows how much of a threat the Reapers are. Why doesn't she just put her bullspit aside and join Shepard, love interest or not?

I actually suspect it's due to her youth and long lifespan, she's matured but is still young deep down. So I suspect she's holding a grudge against the Shadow Broker and two years barely feels anything for her, so she's ignorant to the subject. Her hug / kiss shows her affection, but it's probably feeling like if Shepard decided to go on a buisness trip.
