Personally on my first playthrough with my human noble, I think I liked Nathaniel the best. I came very close to executing him when he started spewing out his crap on how my family deserved to be killed and all of that.
But once he realized what his father was, he apologizes and they become friends. I thought it was cool, especially with him saving Fergus in the end, and then some of Amaranthine being given back to the Howe's.
I liked Anders, reminded me alot of Alistair, but I think Nathaniel still tops him.

Nathaniel is my favorite followed by Justice. I had a feeling once I saw Nathaniel's last name he would be my favorite.

Anders and Nathaniel. Being of human noble origin I wanted to hate Nathaniel but I was surprised by him when everything was said and done. My PC definitely considers him a good friend now.

Nathaniel - he won me over with his honesty in the cell. Later on he shows that he has a strong sense of justice, and is an absolute charmer. I was disappointed that his approval bar didn't bug to "love" like Anders and Justice's did lol.

Have to say that no one...thanks to new dialog system I had only 3 dialogs with Anders and one with Nathaniel, so I wasn't able to know them better. About Oghren I was happy enough that I could send him away with King, and I killed Velanna ( too similar to Morrigan, especially when I heard her words about scavenger )

Velanna is just an angry elf. Pacify her and be apologetic and she comes around. Has anybody not let Velanna do the joining though? I was curious about not performing it for her, but it but did anyway.

Justice was interesting, Velana was okay, and Oghren was still fun to be around but can get annoying if you have him around too long.

Yes she does have a personal quest, I posted a topic about a bug that makes it so that you can't get her quest if you even pick up the Law and Order quest in Amaranthine.
