Not sure on who I like the most yet. Though as for Nathaniel I thought I'd hate him. But he's not so bad after all.

Anders and Nathaniel. Mostly because my first run through was Human Noble.

Anders, by a long shot. Trading Morrigan for him is just gold. Losing all my other companions was quite the blow, though. Especially since at least two of them said in the epilogue they'd stick with me... Meh.

Oghren, Vel and Sigrun.

Sigrun probably first. Earnest, enthusiastic, noble and funny. First time I'd ever consider a romance option with a female dwarf!

Oghren is just hilarious.

Vel is angry, vain and wonderful.

Sigrun and Anders.

Sigrun because she's a female dwarf, which is +100 approval in my books regardless. But I really like how she (along with characters in The Stolen Throne) shows another side to the Legion of the Dead. Plus she's kinda sarcastic and it's cute

Anders is like Alistair but better. He's not whiny, he's incredibly funny and hasn't ceased to make me chuckle.

Nathaniel. I was one of those people who said "I'm gonna end up killing him" when I first heard about him, but I gave him a chance and he grew on me.

Anders would be second. I just wish we had the time to get to know them better in a full game.

Toss up between Anders and Nathaniel. I like them both equally. And agree with Blademaster, I wish we had time to get to know them better.

The whole kitten thing just makes me giggle, from the name to the little interactions Anders has with it. Plus you got to admire his pluck and sassy attitude hehe his intro scene almost makes up for that he is with me so short a time.  Plus its funny hearing "Cullen's" voice coming out of an apostate mage.

Nathaniel I expected to pull a Queen of Hearts thing on him after reading the comic and he turned out to be a welcome surprise esp since I am playing a warrior who can't open stuff/find traps. Since he was the rogue you get early in the game I used him a lot and got to know him a lot better. He's a MONSTER with that Howe Bow. DANG!! New respect for Archers though I liked having Leliana in my group in Origins for her skills as well.

Sadly though I like Justice's character concept, as a tank he failed in my game but he was far better than Oghren in that capacity. Neither of them was an adequate replacement for Alistair. Even Mairi did a better job than both. My DW warrior was supposed to be DPS but she was outtanking both of them. Yes I know I could respec them but didn't want to bother for such a short game anyway as my girl was doing quite well in that role.

I haven't found Sigrun yet but I have met Velenna and I despise her. Kind of a ****y version of Zathrian with less reason to hate humans than he had.but hoping my opinion will change if I get the chance to know her better. Considering the new conversation system being what it is I don't hold out much hope of that happening. In fact after the first run with her in the mines I told her get lost, you don't deserve being a GW. Then changed my mind and reloaded and let her in.

Overall aside from Nathaniel there was no reason really to introduce these companions IMO other than just to try to wean us off the originals. Sadly though Nathaniel was the only companion who allowed me to develope my character more and sort of finish her tale from vengeance against the Howe's to the end result of forgiveness for what had been done.

Had Howe offered Nate up as a marriage prospect he would have gotten a different answer than "I'm not interested in an arranged marriage" from my Cousland girl.

Anders (especially for Ser-Pounce-a-lot) and Nathaniel, for now. I just got Justice, so that may still change since Justice is perhaps the one that, judging from the trailers, intrigues me the most.

I'm a bit disappointed with Velanna, but I've still to get to know her. We'll see.

Anders and Nathaniel are my favorites by far.

I liked Sigrun as well, but I didn't use her much (as Nate was my permanent party rogue).

Nathaniel by far. Just don't spec him as a bard and let him sing.

Nathaniel Howe !!

He was really the greatest surprise of this game, expecially if you consider that I played with a human noble character

When they announced him I was expecting a spoiled noble guy, complaining about you and everything and who follows you only for personal advantage. Instead of it he is a good guy who suffers for the guilties of his father, who tries to find the truth about him and who don't refuse, after he found it to open his eyes and to accept it. And he is nearly nifty in his will to try to rehabilitate the name of his family.During the adventure he become a loyal companion and a good friend. In my opinion the deepest character of this expansion.

Another vote for Nathaniel. Anders and Justice rounded out my main team and my top three faves. (Although I do have to say Oghren / Anders / Nathaniel were just hilarious sometimes going back and forth before I got Justice. I lol'd many times with those three.)

Sigrun was another favorite. I never formed much of a connection with Velanna, I did get her to 100 approval and felt that we were friends, but in the end I just didn't feel a vibe with her.

This, he even got a statue in his honour in Amaranthine in my epilogue.

Nathaniel and Anders for me as well. Nathaniel's history as a Howe has particular impact if you play a human noble. And I like that you can get him to come around and see that his father wasn't just killed for being on the wrong side of the war, he was genuinely evil. Anders had some of the greatest comedic moments in the game, absolutely necessary in a game as dark as this one.

Nathaniel, Anders, Oghren and Justice....well okay they've all been loads of fun to adventure with and the banter is very cool.

I am finding Velanna a hard person to like, she is starting to show a softer side but her behaviour is pretty irritating, maybe when i play with my dalish warden this will change.

Nathaniel, Anders, Sigrun, Justice, Oghren, then Valenna.

Was absolutely enthralled by Nate, he is probably the deepest character out of them all. A shunned son seeking redemption and righting past wrongs. I really, REALLY wish he was in Origins. It also doesn't hurt that he is an absolute beast with that bow.

I liked Justice as well, I thought he was interesting. Even though on my first playthrough I decided with the Architect so I had to kill him. >.>

I didnt really like Valenna. She is always yelling, and her voice is annoying when she yells.

The banter bewteen Oghren and Anders was really funny I thought.

Sigrun had to be my personal favorite by far honestly. Her earnest attitude and perky nature really appealed to me. Anyone who can giggle like a little school girl before turning around and bashing some poor sap's skull in is alright in my book. That and her conversations with Nathaniel, particularly the one where she mocks his notions about members of the Legion of the Dead being moody, were hilarious and oddly touching.
Nathaniel, Justice, and Anders have a three-way tie for second place however. I just loved how oddly enthusiastic Nathaniel was about certain things, and how it contrasted so vividly with how Bioware presented his character leading up to the release. I nearly died from how cute he was when he learned his sister was still alive and well. Then there was Justice who was essentially a more personable version of Sten when you really think about it; and Anders who was like a lite version of Alistair - only with more biting snark and less inane ****ing thrown into the mix.

I also liked Velanna and Oghren, don't get me wrong. It's just that their prickly personalities made it harder for me to get closer to them than the others. And while I adored Oghren in the first game, it seemed that the past few months had turned him into someone who was desperately trying to hide all his insecurities by becoming even more of an offensive bastard than before. Though he quickly re-endeared himself to me when he asked me for a pony and when we had a little heart to heart in the Deep Roads about his dead wife.

Sigrun would probably have been my favorite, but I had her in my party so briefly... will not make that mistake again. Nathaniel 2nd place I think. I liked Anders, too, but Nate takes it with his moody earnestness.
