I have seen it several times. It takes a long time to get into the game.
Enough already. I really don't need those snacks I make during it that
are adding to my less than svelte 63 year old body. So I poked around
and found the BIK movies for it and decided to
replace them with smaller files. You can either make a short video and
convert it with RAD Tools or look for the
smallest file in the movie directory and copy it. You will need 9 copies
of the file to rename. Make back ups of the original files to restore
later!
The files are:
Opening_End_Seq.bik
Opening_End_SeqFM.bik
ME2_006_ON_AntiGlamour2.bik
Opening_Seq_INT.bik
ProNor_Pod2.bik
ProNor_Shepard_Rebuilt.bik
ProNorEscape.bik
ProNorEscapeAsh.bik
ProNorEscapeKaid.bik

Mine
were replaced with a 1 second AVI of my sleeping dog converted to an
848KB BIK file. The shortest one I found in
the Movies folder is the 2.43MB load_f99.bik file.

I'm sure some will find this helpful, but honestly I'ld rather not edit them.



BTW i suggest anyone who attempts this to back up your files first.

I have one of each class with an early-game save (right after getting off the table), so I never need to watch those scenes again anyhow.

I guess this is good info, though ... but would it have been so bad for those cutscenes to be skippable (with space bar)?

Even if the skippability is locked until you've finished the game once?
