I'm trying to post on the DA:O mac tech support forum which says its for registered owners and fans. I'm not gonna buy it before I find out if it will even work on my macbook air. I have to figure out how to become a fan, I guess?

There are lots of macbook posts on the various fora. You can read them without registering.
I didn't find any references to the macbook air in particular, and I know nothing about the techincal specifications of macbooks, so I am unable to extrapolate further.
