Afterall isn't he supposed to be a bigot?
Why not just gather the dossiers for a all human crew?
Why would the Illusive man gather non-human dossiers?

He isn't bigoted, he just wants the best for humanity(including a ruling a hand in the galaxy). That doesn't mean he hates other alien races, or fails to see their uses, and potential as allies.

Hes in need of allies this time. This threat is "bigger than humanity" (even though the collectors are only targetting human colonies). Who truely knows. Maybe he has a secret soft spot for aliens or maybe he's hoping to get Cerberus some good reputation for working with aliens.

Same reason he was willing to work with Golo.

Well, he's intelligent and knows aliens are capable. He's not going to settle for less skill just because a better potential crew-member is an alien. Plus, Shepard has a history with working with aliens in ME1, so he knows that Shepard will be able to lead non-humans.
My guess is that the Illusive Man isn't interested in whether or not he works with aliens, just as he doesn't care if a few human lives are sacrificed in experiments and such, as long as the overall goal of human advancement is pursued achieved.

Because he wants to protect his investment. He doesn't want to spend another billion credits rebuilding Shepard because an incompetent human alternative to one of the alien teammates failed to protect Him.

The Illusive Man knows that humans aren't superior to the ot her races; this is something that he wants to change. He'll leech off of as much alien know-how and technology as he possibly can in order to further the human agenda. He isn't stupid enough to think that humans are the best at everything - he just wants them to become that way.

Any number of reasons, including the one above.
1. Potential threats/targets.
2. Expendable assets (suicide mission...).
3. They've been involved with/gone against Cerberus either directly or indirectly before.

Like Martin Sheen said in the ME2 stars featurette: "He's the kind of guy, that always stresses that the end justifies the means."
Advancement of the human race is his main and only concern. He may or may not like aliens but he's certainly not stupid. STGs, Justicars and Spectres are obvious testaments to the skill of the other races. Saren certainly proved himself as a competent soldier, granted you killed him. =P

Because while he's a biggot, he's a pragmatist. He recognizes that there are aliens that will have a better skill set than any humans he might be able to find.

I don't support Cerberus...not joining that kiddie bandwagon......however this pretty much.
I don't think TIM hates aliens...he is just pro-human and thinks/wants the human race to be the ones that dominate and "run" the galaxy....it has nothing to do with liking or disliking other races....even if he is powermad.
