Please Bioware, give us the respec tome from Awakening in Origins. It would add so much replayablity to the main game.
Respec tome in Origins, please! (console version)

Sorry to say, but you have only yourself to blame. If you choose to buy a game on a console, you choose all that implies as well.

I completely agree with this topic. I myself am a console gamer, and this would help so much. The fact is, one does get Zevran, Wynne, and Oghren pretty late in the game depending out what you do, and by then they already have so many points put into a certain build, it can be rather difficult and wasteful to put points into anything different for that character.
The ability to use the focus tomes in the main game would be very helpful to console gamers, and our PC brethren who choose not to mod. If you are reading this Bioware please do indeed consider this.

Well if you have played the game more than one time just stop making mistakes on your character and/or change up the order you get your characters.
I like the focus tomes in Awakening, but don't think they are needed in Origins especially if you are a veteran Origins player.

Wynne should be one of the first you get. Allows you to play on nightmare and makes the tactics more important, and the game more challenging. Order should be Redcliffe Village 1st, then the Tower.

They should release an origins dlc that has a shop keeper with the item. Or just patch Herren to sell the tomes in origins as well as awakening.

I would of bought the PC Version if Bioware added the 360 controllor and camera options as well like many other games

Considering the #1 DLC I think DA:O NEEDS in my thread: social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/9/index/1688303/1 is a respeccing item for the consoles, I'll sign this thread.
I thought about which version I should get; and, since there aren't many good RPGs for the PS3, I finally decided on the PS3 version. I am quite happy with my purchase. Honestly, I was wondering when RtO DLC would be posted to PSStore a week after it had launched; but, I was patient enough to not whine about it here.
I say this because I am happy with having it on the PS3 and I am NOT going to buy the PC version just to be able to respec my character with the PC's mod. I don't see why a respec DLC can't be added to the consoles.

Yeah GEWill I see your point of view and I might have worded my post wrong originally. I myself am a veteran player and do not mess up my builds anymore, but one of the more fun things I did in awakening was constantly respecing my character. I know sound silly lol, but I found it enjoyable for some odd reason.
And for me, I find Wynne kind of boring, but since she is the only one that comes as a healer, and only two points away from haste (I primarily use my mage only as a haste battery and healer/buffer) and already she has a fine collection of healing spells; why should I use Morrigan over her? Imagine if I could respec Morrigan at the beginning, get rid of that silly shapeshifter nonsense and make her a full blown spirit healer!
I don't know, it would give so much more replay value for the fact alone of using different characters as different roles. Hopefully I made myself more clear there.

I played about 10 times through Origins, but the thing is, you get most characters "preset".
Like Sten got many 2 handed weapon skills, zevran two weapon skills and so on.
It would add a lot of replayability to me and I think to many others, too.

Yeah JanHen, Zevran is truly the pity because I find him to be a more interesting character than Leliana, but the fact is, you HAVE to do one of the main missions to get Zevran, leaving you no choice but to get Zev at a higher level. The respec tome would negate all this.

That would be nice simply because we'd be able to "fix" all the other AI characters we get so their stats aren't permanently ruined because the game delegated stats. I've beat the game over 6 times and am still finding reasons to keep playing but eventually I'm gonna get bored. If they added this it would definitely give me a reason to keep playing just so I could experiment as much as I wanted to.

I have to agree though that tossing in the Respec Tome into Origins at the camp shop would fix all sorts of gripes with the game. I would LOVE it if Bioware were kind enough to do this for us.

yeah, that would be great, if only to prevent wynne from dumping points into those godawful earth spells.

I agree with you guys, some characters are crappy skilled if you get them on higher levels. Zevran for example is kinda useless.
Keep the posts coming.
