...and yes, it does suck that they killed her! it's funny since her "character development" just seems to have been an afterthought for Bioware, but there was so much potential.

I got Dragon age Awakenings pre owned from Gamestation, they had a few copies, if this is the reason people are taking the game back to the shop then thank you very much youve saved me a fortune, I think every game should do it, id never have to spend more then 15 quid on a new release ever again lol.



Still it was a shock, and I agree that it would have been better to have it either random or specific on choices made, but from what Ive played so far this game is alot less of a RPG then origins, reminds me of the difference between baulders gate and icewind dale, very similar but one is mainly story the other mainly combat...

I am not sure if this is true but there is a rumour going around that you can infact save Mhairi, but at the cost of Anders. Aparently if you give him to the templar woman Mhairi survives along with Oghren. I have not tested this so dont get angrey at me if its not true.

Still, personally i think Oghren should have died, he had his time in Origins and theres Sigrun to be the dwarf companion.

I will reload the game before the battle with the disciple and strip her of armor & weapons.  At least I'll keep something I can resell. LOL

When she dies, you get her gear in your inventory. No need to strip her down. this includes if you put gear on her that you brought with from Origins.

Her naive goody-goody personality is definitely not for everyone, I for one, found it refreshing in the game. But for sure, those people in real life make me want to decapitate.



Had to start over in DAO and make a human female tank to fill the void.

If someone wants her back bad enough they will just make a mod that puts her into your party selection like they did with Dragon age Origins where they let you add like 9 other people. she just would never talk and only be good for battle.

Just to say, I really liked the character, PLUS she was a fricken' tank, and my char is a fricken' rogue, so now I don't have a tank. Grrrrr.



I get the point that her death would bring home the danger of the Joining, but surely at least one option should allow you to keep a decent tank!!!. At first, I thought maybe you were only allowed to keep 1 or 2 chars, so I tried all the variations (booting Ohgren, wardening the mage, booting the mage and Ohgren) - I thought that at least ONE option should keep her, but no. Very disappointing.



I guess the truth of it is they simply couldn't get enough voice-overs for her. *sigh*

I think it was just plain stupid to even bother mentioning her on their website. Like people have said, if they didn't call Jory and Daveth companions, why bother saying she's one and instantly kill her, that's like taking a movie and saying "this is the main character!" and then he dies 15 mins into the movie.
