Ive searched and found nothing so here goes.
Suffering a rather major problem with the crash site.

I am unable to "press F" to place the monument, nothing happenes.

I am unable to leave the planet. No board shuttle option when Im near it.

Ive completed this mission before so I can only assume its a 1.01 patch problem.

Help anyone? Would quite like to be able to actually play the game.

Yes I meet the min standard, and then some.
All my drivers are as upto date as they can be.

Just went through this level last night... You can only place the monument with the "F" key in particular places - when the message appears on the screen. You do not seem to be able to place it anywhere. You may need to place the monument before you can board the shuttle for the return flight. Good luck!

You can only place the monument close to some of the largest Normandy parts, at their "entrance"
(Sorry if you already thought of that, your post isn't clear on that).

You cannot leave the planet before you have placed the monument.

Ive tried all the locations and despite getting the message to press F none of them work.



I haven't changed any key bindings, but have attempted to use every key on the keyboard bound or not to no avail.

On others sites they tell you to use the key for melee attack. Perhaps that helps. But I've got another problem: The Mission is not completed, when I place it.

If you've changed you hotkeys ie changing your melee key pressing f won't work. Press whatever key you use for melee.

Ahh... that bug. I had it in Help Mordin Solus mission. 1st playthrough, and 2nd playthrough again. Now on my 3d playthrough i'll have to see if it'll happen again.
That is a bug. Nothing to be done about it on the player's side. Bad luck. Sadly the game is riddled with bugs.

Oh a tip: before docking onto any planet, save in the Normandy. Once on the planet walking around, save again while everything's still ok.

shep82 is correct, the Melee key is what the game actually wants you to press, which is not necessarily F if you've remapped it.

Yes I did confirm... if you change your melee to another key or a mouse button other than F and do not have F for melee.... then what ever your melee attack is... will place the monunment.



The tooltip does not update if you change your melee attack key. To place the monumnet is the same button as to make a melee attack (as of version 1.2).
