I don't know if others have asked this, but is there a simple way to make 3rd party mods compatible with Awakening?  I don't mean official DLC, I mean all the great weapons and armor sets made by third parties.  Would the creators have to modify them, or is there some way for us to easily modify them to make them compatible?

Thanks!

Some appear to already be compatible. Those that are not, their creators have to update them.

I'd love to make Immodil's Pocket Plane compatible with Awakenings, for example. (And BTW if it already is, I apologize in advance, I haven't checked recently. Some mod creators update their stuff really fast.)

Override model mods work fine, weapon and armour mods seem to transfer intact, but won't be added to your inventory if activated on a character already in Awakening (at least in my experience).

Mods like Meta-Game Items and Pocket Plane don't seem to transfer. Neither does Winter Forge for obvious reasons, but items made with it seem to, and Awakening seems to have copied a lot of it's features..

I downloaded that but it only worked for official DLC. For example. I am playing the Orlesian Warden. I installed the mod "Black Templar's Armor". The black templar's armor did not appear in my inventory. I am looking for a way to remedy this.

That's the current problem, unfortunately new characters can't seem to get modded items at the moment.
You can only transfer them if you first get them in DA:O, save and transfer that character to Awakening.

I really wonder why Black Templar Armor doesn't work for you (I say "you", because I haven't installed Awalening yet). The author has all the important stuff in "core". Watching the size of the ERF in "module" makes me think that it is only the script for adding it into the inventory. So, it should transfer when you have it in your inventory in the DAO save...

All of them would transfer fine, (at least weapon and armor mods) if your console is enabled and you know the codes.

For example, I installed the armor set "Armor of the Devout" and "Armor of the Pious" in my DAO game after one of my characters had already finished and transferred to awakening. The set creator was kind enough to have the console codes posted, so I simply used them and the items spawned in my Awakening inventory.

Unfortunately, finding mod creators who post the console codes to their creations is hard to do. I haven't found any other who managed it.

I also know that the Shadow Warden, and Orlesian Fox Armor sets are sold by Yuriah in Awakening just as they were sold by Bodahn in Origins as well as the Universal Dye kit. Winter forge works in Awakening as well.
