My Build:
Spacer
War Hero
Soldier
Default Face

The point is that I tried to make a custom face male Shepard and it all just felt...off.
Anyone else feel the same?

I am used to default maleShep, I have yet to see more detailed maleShep. I do not play as a femShep much, but in both female playthroughs I created her face, I don't like the default femShep.

If I play male I go for the default look. But I normally play as a femshep (better voice acting) and I make a custom face.

Thats because the default shepard has his very own texture

Engineer, Colonist, Earthborn, Male, default face. I just didn't want to make a custom face because I think Mark Meer's voice only really sounds right coming out of sheploo.

Exactly what I'm saying.

Actually the default look seems completely off. I spent a lot of time(some hours) building the look I wanted. Then I wrote down the code and now I use it every single playthrough. As for the background crap I thought the Colonist, Sole Survivor were the best choices in ME1 by far....in ME2 none of these make a difference at all.

In terms of combat class, the Vanguard is by far the best in ME1 while in ME2 the Infiltrator is ONLY the best IF you mod your saves so that your SR has nearly infinite ammo.....or at least more than you can possibly dream of using; otherwise the soldier is best in ME2.

I usually play as a female Shepard, but Meer's acting showed a lot of improvement in ME2 from ME1.

Probably we can tell the same about Jennifer Hale when she make the voice in The Dark Eye (1995) over Quest for Glory IV: Shadows of Darkness (1994).

Hale have 10 more years of experience than Meer, BTW. ;)

Nah. I've never used the default MaleShep. And I know that a lot of people enjoy FemShep. At least I do. Never used her default appearance either. ;)

I played through ME 1 as the default male Shepard because the faces, especially the eyes were always screwed up looking when I messed with it. But...I made a custome female Shepard for ME 1 as well, I imported those both for ME 2. I think I could always get better results for fem-Shep in ME 1 & 2, whereas male-Shep always looks like the result of fetal alcohol syndrome or that his father was a Krogan or somesuch. I haven't seen anyone make a male-Shep that doesn't look kind of deranged. More eye options would certainly help.

Jennifer Hale's voice acting on ME is just fabulous. It's a travesty to eve suggest using a male shepard, imho.

Wow, that actually doesn't look too bad. You should put it on the Mass Effect 2 database if you didn't already:

Usually I go with default Shepard. Whenever I try to make my own, it just feels weird because it feels like Mark Meer's voice only fits the default mshep (although probably because I only play as defaul I've grown accustomed to it).
