It doesn't just happen to pancakes. Several types of candy and snacks, too. Even chocolate hail.<_<

Candy I can see but pancakes? I don't think they are sweet enough by themselves to be really considered 'childish'

i love dutch pancakes too, especially when they are soaked in lemon juice

ever try potato pancakes :P

in further interest ever make crepes before? They are very good and easy to make.

1 egg, 3 to 4 tablespoons of flour and just enough milk, then mix together and pour into the pan

That's right, guys can cook too :P

I like banana blueberry buttermilk pancakes. Those are delightful. Unless you put too much baking soda in. Then they make me sad.

She tossed the remains of the pancake.

I'll remember to bake you pancakes purely as I know how to make them, Maria.

Hope you like condiments and having to pick them on your own.

Hold on, did she make one pancake? One? Isn't that a lot of work? I suppose the experimental nature of this particular pancake might have had a say in it, but I strongly believe that, as far as pancakes go, more is always better.

I suspect that you're not picturing the pancake correctly. It's a Dutch baby pancake. It takes up the entire pan you bake it in. It's four eggs, about ten minutes of prep time creating the batter/fuit mix, and then 15 minutes in the oven.

I won't just say 'Ma, make me another' because there's no way for me to finish the first one.

Hmmm sounds like something I would like. The batter sounds like it would be similar to a yorkshire pudding but, obviously, a sweet one. I'm picturing it with apples and blackberries.

I wish this wasn't the first time I'd heard of this.

Uh... why? I would have understood if you really wanted to share a pancake recipe or something, but you didn't even add anything meaningful to this thread. :pinched:
